What People are saying
Centrally located and clean (but that's about it)
Lakshana Kon 12/05/2017 19:10If you stay at Mookambika Deluxe, you'll find yourself right in the heart of Badami's main stretch which is a dusty, noisy, often dirty and crowded road. The upside to that is that you can find a shared auto to take you places very easily and that the bus stop is quite literally across the road from the hotel. (The railway station is quite a way away though). The rock/cave temples are also quite easily walkable from the hotel, which is a big plus.
The hotel itself is not much to write about. It's old and pretty basic with a liquor shop right opp the lobby (so expect shady characters in and around the reception area). The rooms, however, have clearly been given a face lift. They're pretty clean and comfortable. There's room service with the standard fare if you should want it.
Pretty decent value for money, but if you can pay a little more (and have a vehicle of your own), look at the Heritage Resort or Clarks Inn instead.
Clean and silent
Philipp Ron 08/05/2017 16:45We spent one night in a 3 bed room for 1400rs.
A little bit costly but the receptionist was really convinced that there is nothing cheaper... He was right ^^
Room was really clean, soft and clean beds! TV was there and a really nice bathroom.
It's in the center of badami.
Even extra towels were there!
Philipp ;)
Value for money, Friendly staff
kinjalshah2017on 16/03/2017 07:00Neat & clean, friendly staff and amazing value for money.
The guy at the reception gave us some amazing tips to cover all the 3 places (Badami, Pattadakal & Ahiole)
Our stay was comfortable and satisfying
Good bet in town.
Girish Don 13/03/2017 13:53Although opposite the bus stand, the rooms are inside the property so very quiet. The dargah next door blares off at 5.30am every morning contrary to SC orders of loudspeakers after 6am only! Sufficient parking for cars. Restaurant n bar next door of the same owner is good for a beer and food. One man staff Suresh is very helpful. Others are locals who are quite unrefined. No in room dining, not even breakfast. But Anand restaurant right opposite starts service at 6am! Genset back up available but one has to request mgmt to switch it on especially if occupancy is low. With Clark's opening a short distance ahead this property will need to pull itself up.
Super friendly guy at reception....good value....central location
Derry Mon 10/02/2017 16:16I spent two nights at this hotel last December ( 2016 ) and it was one of the most satisfying experiences that I had during my two and a half months stay in India.I arrived without a reservation but this was not a problem because the guy at reception-Mr Suresh-was super friendly and accommodating.I was given a room-reasonably large, clean and with a clean en-suite.There is no restaurant at this hotel but there are some good eateries nearby-for example,Clarks' Hotel....Sleep quality was really good at this hotel and I felt that I was valued as a guest. This is a privately owned hotel and it shows....The best thing about the hotel is Mr Suresh at reception. He saved me 1000 Rupees by pointing out that I could WALK to the cave temples from the hotel-a 'rickshaw driver had asked for that amount of money to drive me there...just a ten minute walk!...Mr Suresh also organised a taxi for me to take me the next day to Pattadakal and Aihole to see the temples there....I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.I recommend it highly and am happy to give it ten out of ten.
