Great hotel and amazing view
Evnika Pon 14/09/2016 00:26I stayed in this hotel for a couple of days with my daughter and we had really great time here. I was particularly impressed how friendly and helpful the receiption staff was. The room was spacious and nicely decorated though modern and we loved the view from the window to a beautiful lake. I guess not all rooms are facing the lake but we were lucky enough:) we also enjoyed spending our mornings in the swimming pool which is actually quite large comparing to other 4* hotels I was staying before. All in all it was a very nice stay. Hope to be back!
Only breakfast is disappointing
sumavaxon 31/08/2016 04:51The New Peterhof Hotel is a modern building with 3 floors. The lobby is very spacious.
You can park free of charge in the access road to the hotel or book a paid parking lot.
The hotel has an excellent location for the visit of Peterhof. It is about 300 m to the nearest entrance to the lower Park.
The staff at the front desk were friendly but there were waiting times. It is noteworthy that a registration fee has to be paid at every hotel you check in in the Russian Federation.
The buffet breakfast was very disappointing. Considering that the hotel is 4 star the quality was sub-standard. The juices proved to be watery, ham and sausages were of very modest quality, and freshly baked bread was in short supply. In contrast the coffee from the vending machine was good.
Also the breakfast room was very crowded due to tour groups and there was little room between the chairs to get to your table.
In the basement of the hotel there is a large, pleasantly heated swimming pool and a hot tub as well as a Turkish bath.
It is worth mentioning, however, that for hotel guests access to these facilities is free of charge from 7:30 16:00 only which is very unusual by international standards.
We were given an upgrade to a superior room with a view of the lake and away from the busy main street. The room was nicely furnished, friendly and bright due to a large window front. Everything worked perfectly but we missed a water kettle.
The TV offered international programs and the Wi-Fi was stable and fast.
In spite of the shortcomings regarding breakfast the hotel can be recommended for a visit to Peterhof. It is also a good starting point for exploring other sights like e.g. Zarskoye Selo or Gattchina Park.
The worst breakfast you could ever imagine

And I need to share that they have the worst breakfasts you could ever imagine. 8 30 in the morning, literally NO food. The guests are wandering around in search of meals. The staff doesn't react to my questions and don't try to change anything. Moreover, waiters believe it to be normal and replied me that it happens in EVERY hotel 😂 Waited for 20 minutes in vain and went to work hungry 😡
Great location, accommodation is all right
cheery86on 25/07/2016 18:33I have been at this hotel twice, and although travelling because of business, this hotel allowed me to upgrade my stay - having nice walk around nearby lake, walking to the park or offering the chance to see the Summer Palace or church just on side. The business / conference rooms are fine, just be careful of strong air-condition. The breakfast variety is rich, the personnel is ok.
