Though i knew this hotel, still wanted to stay due to location only. its bang in front of the beach and also little walk from the crowded beach area side by the beach. the food quality was good but not sure about the quantity with regards to the price they are charging. also you need to think you are in Puri and not in any exotic destination where ample food
estaurant is available nearby. the breakfast has no buffet and very very limited option is available. better not to opt for the BF.hotel staff is fine but expects money for everything, even calling for an auto. cleanliness is just average though i was not happy. its surprising that they have one small pool bu they charge for that per hour basis. this is something new to me. room size are medium and the deluxe rooms are front view of sea. overall the price they are charging looks little more as compared to the facility.

Worst worst in quality .....leaving the sea shore proximity ( which is common with all hotels on the shore line) nothing inside the hotel is even worth a 500th of its room rate. Filthy slippery dirty and shabby patched bathrooms. The rooms have damp and water marks all along the ceilings. Bad over priced in house dining restaurant. Leaving the cheese grilled sandwich in the breakfast rest all food is too over priced. Bad experience, will never stay up there. The shoreline alongside the hotel is superb but I will lookout for other hotels on the so called New Marine Drive. Donot get fooled with the hotel picture mentioned on the Hotel profile.

Only chose this hotel because it allowed pets. And I am giving it 4 stars only and only because of that. I think it's great that it is one of the hotel's in Puri that allows pets. Big thumbs up for that!!!
Other than that the property needs renovation as it's getting dilapidated, so needs some attention.
Location is fantastic, on the marine drive right next to the Lighthouse. Right on the beach but still away from the hustle bustle of swargdwar. It's on a quiet stretch of the beach so good for a beach bath too.
Most rooms have bay windows which are sea facing.
Good air conditioners and geyser.
Towels needs to be changed as they are getting worn.

Recommendations:
Tea kettle maker with tea/coffee replenishments is a must in all hotels nowadays, so should be in all rooms.
Overall a satisfactory stay!!

Very good Hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights in December. The hotel is at very good place. By crossing road, you will enter the beach. You can enjoy hotel's swimming pool. People are good here.
Hotel's restaurant is simply awesome. Try fried karela chips, posto aaloo.

Awful experience at Hotel Niladri Puri during my recent stay 23-Nov to 28-Nov

I thought of sharing my awful experience with my recent stay at Puri that I booked through oyorooms.(23rd to 28th Nov)

1. We used to get Salty Sea water through taps throughout the day. When complained about that was told that we would get the normal corporation water only from 8am to 10am and 2 hours in the evening. That' it. Rest of the time of the day you would feel like consuming the direct sea water using which you cannot even wash your face.
2. The room is so small that we can hardy get a passage to walk around the bed.

3. The Geyser is not there in toilet. Their logic was as the water is salty like sea water the connection has been removed because of short circuit. The service guys however supplied the hot water in bucket but we could not use it as we don't feel like using a public bucket. See pic attached showing Geyser connection.
4. The AC does not work. It shows E(Error) and display stays like that. Increase/Decrease the temp does not work. See pic attached showing AC display.
5. The room was dirty. See the pic of bedside table top with insects around.
