Very comfortable Hotel in town centre
ShepLapstoneon 06/06/2017 12:58There are very few hotel choices in the central part of Blaubeuren. Hotel Ochsen is right in the centre and offers a very nice breakfast. My room was very spacious and immaculately clean. Beautiful furniture, table and chair and desk, quality carpet, and very nice decor. Wide window with good views that let in plenty of light. No tea and coffee making facilities or fridge which is fairly common in Germany. The bathroom was also extremely good with plenty of space. It does have a nice bar area, but when I entered on my second night there, a guy was smoking a cigar, which wasn't allowed, so I went elsewhere. Staff perhaps could have been more vigilant
Charming and cozy!
sirsteinbachon 12/05/2017 00:58I loved this little town so much the hotel wouldn't have had to be wonderful and I still would have been happy, but the hotel was really charming and wonderful too! Great bed, fast wifi, nice shower, quiet and clean, and good breakfast too! No complaints!
Peaceful stay with fantastic restaurant
wheelsupatlon 04/03/2017 02:04My regular Ulm hotel was booked and I selected the Hotel Ochsen based on location and availability. I had a 4-night stay in a pleasant if minimalist room, good for working from the hotel which I needed to do. The waterfall shower was great! The staff in this family-run establishment includes many apprentices who are enthusiastic about their jobs and having the opportunity to work here. Best of all is the restaurant, with a menu laden with excellent choices of local specialties including an oxtail soup that is worth a trip in itself. Parking is free but the lot can get crowded. Easy walk to the main attraction, the Blautopf spring, and there is a small town center nearby also.
Christmas Market trip stop

Very friendly staff, a family ran business in a very clean and organised way.
Attentive to our needs. The room was quiet and comfortable.
Breakfast was very well supplied with lots of choices.
Recommend this hotel if in the area.
Oh and free parking and wifi too!!!
Nice enough but nothing special
Rene Son 24/12/2016 09:37As referenced in the title, nice enough but nothing special. Clean rooms and an OK breakfast. One thing that really surprised me was the fact that it's allowed to smoke in the bar.... I thought to go for a beer before dinner, but being a non smoker, decided to go and have that beer at the neighbors. So for all you smokers out there, this might be a nice place to stay, so you don't have to smoke outside in the cold.... ;-)
