Good hotel, with a view!
Molen61on 10/01/2017 20:42We stayed in the hotel for several days. Our room was o.k. at the second floor, nothing special but spacious enough and everything you need present. The breakfast complete, good quality and enough choice.
Apart from the stay, we also had our diners in the hotel. Three nights in a row was no problem at all, the menu was offering good choice and variation. We enjoyed all the dishes as well as the wines originating from the area.
Improvement could be to have also a place free to spend some time before dinner to drink something, after a day of walking. Since diner started early, it felt like already being not welcome.
The landscape around is great, very good for hiking.
Anyhow, a place to return!
Wonderful views, fine Hotel
sandervaon 12/12/2016 10:57In the last 2 years I had to stay in Epen several times. Always in the Krijtland, which is a 5 minutes walk though the fields to where I had to visit. Always very welcome, very good restaurant - try the local specialties - and great views. A pleasure to come back to! Ask for a room with a front balcony.
Great accomodation plus view
Kelly Hon 23/10/2016 10:41Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Had a good stay here. Spacious bathroom and room. Great view from the room looking over the hills of Epen. Good location. Friendly staff from morning till evening. Breakfast buffet is more then enough and everything fresh. They keep it stocked before it rans out. I recommend it.
I give 4 out of 5 because we were there during fly season, 1 or 2 flies came in the room and that couldnt be stopped especially that there is a cow farm nearby.
Good family-run hotel
Fred Won 13/12/2015 08:23This is a hotel in an exposed position in Limburg hill country. Its position on the ridge of a hill affords splendid views. The countryside here is popular with the Dutch as the rest of the country is devoid of hills. Good hiking possibilities in the area. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel has a restaurant and is a few hundred meters uphill from the village of Epen, which offers more restaurants.
Hospitality at its best! Group with exclusive use of the hotel.
cbf88on 31/08/2015 22:47I stayed at this hotel with a group. We utilised the hotel exclusively as a base for touring the area. The owner and his team could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The food was great every night and were very accommodating with special requests. I hope others will use this hotel when considering large groups and exclusive use.
The hotel has begun to modernise the decor and facilities and it looks great. The views from the rooms at the front of the hotel and the apartments are great.
