Had a wonderful time for my partner’s 50th Birthday. The complimentary bottle of prosecco put in the room was a lovely touch. The ground floor room was small but had a window onto the canal. Continental breakfast was ample and set us up for the day. Location was brilliant, close enough to St Marks Square which was a short, pleasant walk away. Couldn’t fault the staff, a beautiful building and an amazing weekend. Wouldn’t hesitate to go again!

There are alot better hotels in the area and alot more helpful and friendly reception staff. Before we arrived I emailed to say we would like a first floor room and as it is my husbands 60th birthday I ask for a bottle of wine in our room and to let me know the price. I wanted this to be a special break as my husband has been seriously ill this year. On arrival we were put in a ground floor room and no wine, when I queried this I only got a shrug of the shoulders and no apologies. We are a couple who never complain and we have never wrote a review. The reception staff never smiled and were not helpful on any issues.

I have wanted to be in Venice in a room overlooking a small canal for many years. To be able to look out my window and watch gondolas go by was my dream. This hotel was perfect! I could hear the singing and/or the accordian playing in the distance each day, and that was my cue. The staff could not have been more accommodating. I would definitely return to this quaint hotel with the perfect location!

We had a small but adequate room overlooking a side canal. It was a small window, so not much light and being ground floor you could't have the net curtain pulled back as gondoliers we going past at eye level every 2 minutes. Quite quiet however as no footfall past the room.
Having said that the hotel was delightfully quaint and the staff friendly and helpful. The position however was perfect for us, a short walk from St. Marks Sq. but not too close, plenty of restaurants and bars close by, 5 minutes walk to the waterfront, couldn't fault it for location.
No kettle, tea/coffee facilities, but there were glasses for the bottle of wine we took back to the room one night.
Was perfect for the 3 nights we were there.

The hotel is a tribute to historical architecture with modern conveniences. I think almost every room must have a canal view. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and the hostess was extremely nice.
For those who must stay in contact with the rest of the world this hotel has excellent wifi. I suggest that you do NOT have laundry done. It is EXPENSIVE.
Restaurants abound nearby so you will not go hungry.
If you arrive in Venice by train I suggest that you pay the 'fee' (70 Euros) and have a water taxi take you very close to the hotel. It would be way too difficult to navigate the distance while dragging luggage. If you arrive at the airport take the commercial water 'bus' (15 Euros) and get dropped off in the vicinity of St. Marks. Use the "maps.me" app and you should be able to walk to the hotel in about 10-15 minutes.
