Romantic Weekend

Elchichagton 21/08/2017 17:02

I have known this Hotel since I was a little boy, nice food, good service and excelent coffee! But this was my first time to get a room for a weekend. Room was nice, cozy and the bathroom had a bathtub. Service was very good and the Hotel and room very clean. An old hotel but beautiful and very well located. You have museums and Lux Theater very close.
If you can book room with balcony better.

Great Hotel in a Historic Part of Town

rickydolan048on 02/06/2017 02:53

This is a great option in Zone 1. I recommend a room with a balcony facing to 6th avenue. Friendly staff, clean, safe, etc. Right on the "Paseo de la Sexta" with lots of cultural events. They need newer remote controls or to change the batteries more often, otherwise, I would give them 5 stars.

Fantastic Historic Hotel

Small rooms but excellent service & history! The decor is retro (most original I suspect) & really takes one back in time. I loved it & could not help but think into the past when the hotel was in it's "heydey"! Great central location - Would definitely stay there again.

Loved it

We loved this place. Tiny room but who needs more space? We stayed here like 3 nights but one was pretty much just sleep since we went to Tikal on a red eye and came back late that same night. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was delicious. The door man was incredibly helpful when we asked him if and how to purchase a cell phone. They held our bags when we came in early the first day. And best of all, it was centrally located to everywhere we needed to go including the capital building and la sexta avenida.

Fantastic old hotel in historic centre of Guatemala City

Islay Mon 13/03/2017 21:43

I have stayed at the Hotel Pan American on four separate occasions over the last twelve months whilst working on a project in Guatemala. I can't recommend this hotel enough - the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, the rooms are clean and functional, the food (in particular the breakfast) is delicious and the location is very convenient for the historic Centre. The rates are also extremely conservative compared to the expensive chain hotels in Z.10, and the atmosphere and charm make it especially enjoyable and a much better place to stay.

This is neither a fancy nor modern hotel, but that is very much part of its charm and I hope to return again some day if I'm ever back in Guatemala City.
