BenuAlon 25/08/2017 06:36How did this hotel reached 2.5 stars??? Beats me. I do not mind a cheap motel as long as is clean. Dirty ashtrays under the bed. Empty bags of chips and a bottle of soda. Very nasty. Avoid it like the plague.

dennisbZ2842EEon 16/08/2017 09:41I was hesitant to book this hotel based on previous reviews but my options were limited as our family get together was unfortunately timed the weekend of the major baseball game. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were all exceptionally helpful, courteous, and professional. We had 3 rooms facing the street but noise was not a problem even for those of us who are light sleepers. The breakfast menu was varied enough to please everyone: waffles, biscuits and gravy, several kinds of donuts, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals, juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. There may be even more but I am a yogurt/fruit/coffee morning person. I did try the waffles - you make them fresh - and they were good. You also have a coffee maker and refrigerator in each room. The rooms were clean, the linens fresh, and a request for more towels was quickly and cheerfully answered. Within its category I would give it a 5 star rating but this is not a Hilton International- nor were the prices. This is an older motel with some minor flaws- paint over runs, caulking around the tub a bit messy - but nothing that concerned even our pickyest member of our group of 4 adults, 2 teenagers, and one child. Value for money and service were excellent. Within a short walking distance there is a very good Mexican restaurant. I also recommend The Mad Greek restaurant in downtown Lawrence for excellent, authentic Greek food. We plan to meet up here again next year.

MATTHEW Don 14/08/2017 18:41Just wanted an overnight stop while traveling thru Kansas. Upon entering the "non- smoking" room an overwhelming smell of smoke was present. Room was not very clean, very dated, and not what you would expect of a Days Inn. After being in the room for just a few minutes we decided the smell was too much and left, driving an hour and a half longer to find another hotel.

Deann Son 13/08/2017 19:01Carpet sticky, dirty. Evening staff rude. Left something behind, live 3 states away, asked if they would mail it if I paid postage, told no and told I would have to come back to get them.
