Diner is very Special

Room is standard, Diner is very special. Hotel is based in a neighbourhood. Pictures look like a hotel in a wood, but this ain't. Biggest complain about this hotel is the noise of starting and landing airplanes. So early wake up after late sleep. Breakfast could be included of the room-price. 18 euro's is to much for what it is. Diner in the hotel is very special. So if you are somewere around , for diner it would be very good.

Astonishing restaurant. Visit before year end.

After more than 30 years Residence will unfortunately close its doors forever. So visit before end of the year, it is a fantastic restaurant ( two Michelin stars), very close to the product. And an incredible wine selection with one of the best sommeliers in Germany

Nice and quite Hotel near Dusseldorf

I staid at La Residence on a business trip, the reception and all employees were very nice and helpful, the room not very big but with every thing inside, wifi, shower, comfortable bed, ans very quite. So in conclusion a good residence and I will come back. The restaurant attached to the hotel is 2* Michelin, and the bill accordingly ... but they also have a very affordable menu on the side and you can enjoy very good food without looking for a gourmet diner.

Hotel: I arrived late and they made sure my key was ready to get into the room. The hotel looks nice from the outside but looks a bit outdated

Price: The price I paid was ok, usually you get a room with breakfast for this price for the type of room but I am not complaining.

Room: This was a bit of a let down. I posted the photo's of the room i got since this looks nothing as what they use on booking websites. If you check those sites you get the feeling you get a bit more styled room while this was just the average german hotel room. This felt kinda disappointing. It was clean and the free food and apple juice was a nice extra from the staff.

bathroom: Basic with nothing extra. I liked the shower which had blue and green led's in the shower-head.

Services: The free fruit was a nice extra, since i had to leave early i didn't use anything else.

neighborhood: The area is a really great town and has an exclusive look.

Parking: You can park next to the hotel and there is enough space.

Overall: Not a bad sleep but there are better hotels in Essen for this price to be honest. Just an average hotel. And do check the photo's so you aren't disappointed when you arrive.

Ideal stay in fabulous Essen, Germany

We have just spent 10 wonderful nights in this spectacular location near Dusseldorf. This hotel wins best bathroom in Germany with two sources of water for your shower and so much pressure I want to call a plumber to check our home bathroom water flow! We left the hotel twice to travel to other destinations and they kept 2 pieces of our luggage each time so we would have less to deal with on the train. The staff is "Service Personified" and makes you feel very important. We were upgraded to a huge room space for Europe and combined with the use of a second floor lounge which has a balcony the stay was amazingly comfortable. A Reese Witherspoon look alike will greet you daily. Combined with delicious evening chocolates, bedtime stories, and complimentary apple juice our stay was extremely comfortable!
