Hotel with a free parking on a river bank. There is a castle next to it and many people leave their cars at their parking to go there but I didn't have any trouble finding s parking spot. The hotel is basic but can't say anything bad. Maybe the mirror is small and light in the bathroom could be brighter. Also they have a nice restaurant inside with a view over Rhein

If you want a hotel stay on a relative budget in a more traditional Gasthoff, then look no further than the Rheinterrasse Benrath (Not to be confused with the Rheinterasse Dusseldorf)

Situated in Benrath (suburb of Dusseldorf) almost direct on the River Rhein, this traditional hotel and restaurant caters for short stays and business travellers alike.

Friendly and helpful staff, a typical but quite adequate continental breakfast and a pretty nice evening menu (food is always well prepared and generous in proportion)

Each Wednesday in the summer months there is also an outside barbeque.

Some of the finer frills for business like WiFi and a business area are not really available, but that doesnt detract too much from the overall effect since you will be sat in the bar or on the terace enjoying the beer, the food, the views and the company.

The room was fine - the bed was comfortable. The furniture was modern. The en-suite was okay too - the shower was a nice size and powerful. There weren't any English TV channels on the TV in my room. I had to deal with a couple of mosquitoes in the room!

Breakfast was basically continental (plus eggs / omelette) - the croissants and the cold sausage were really nice.

It was nice and quiet, particularly relaxing on the terrace with a beer, looking over the river Rhine.

The staff were all very pleasant and polite.

Super Stopover Location

Although sorely in need of updating, the location of this little hotel is really great with uninterrupted views of the Rhine.
Noisy carpark was the only irritation. Very convenient to Düsseldorf, satisfactory rooms and generous breakfast. Will definitely return.

A bit dated but right at the river

The travel agency found this hotel because it was close to our venue the following day. It is a small place right at the River Rhein which was great for botht he view and a evening walk/run along the river.

Hotel is a bit dated - at least my room on the ground floor was VERY basic but also clean. It lacked a bit the comfort of more upscale places but was ok for the night. I personally found the bed too hard but obviously a question of preference.

Dinner in the evening was pretty good and service was very good. Breakfast had a very good selection and there was pleanty of it.

Customer service was very friendly everywhere (reception, restaurant etc.) so in summary, an ok place for a one night stay where you don't spend too much time in the room.
