Not a lot to do around here, but the castle ruins are not to be missed. We stayed after a day at the castles in Schwangau. No town to walk to and not much to be seen in the area except the castle ruins and suspension bridge, which is an all uphill hike of about 30-40mins.
Rooms were nice, bed comfortable, bathroom reasonable. No elevators here. Restaurant serves typical German/Austrian food. Breakfast was nice, but no scrambled eggs, bacon, or sausages.

We chose this hotel as a one-night stop over which still has us wishing that we had made it a longer one. the hotel is situated in Lechaschau within easy walking distance from town and the Lech River.
The hotel is very tastefully decorated with antiques and other oddities. The rooms are super clean as is the rest of the hotel. Meals are well priced as usually is in the off the beaten track hotels but this one is by far the best that I've stayed in. I certainly will go back there some day. Wi-fi is available in the form of a personal router which was so convenient as we were able to walk to town with our own wi-fi throughout, perfect for sightseeing information..
Our only negative was the indifferent service at the dinner restaurant....still waiting for two coffees!

The hotel was close enough to town for walking, but Reutte itself was a let down with very little to do!
The hotel had a skeleton staff with very few guests which gave us the feeling that business was not doing very well -or maybe, it was off-season here. We were not happy that their restaurant was not open for evening meals Monday or Tuesday -even though the menu (posted near the main entrance) showed it being open. We saw many good looking hotels driving around the areas which interested us more than Hotel "Romantic" Krone! On a positive note: Breakfast was super and the hotel could be a "happening place" when it is occupied. Fortunately, we serendipitously came across (and attended) a rare Reutte town event involving all the local bands marching towards the center of town and performing at the center square/Town Hall(?).

I stayed one night with my wife and children. It is located in front of mountains with a nice view. Near this hotel, you can find a awesome and huge lake, Lech. This family-owned hotel has a nice restaurant and peaceful rooms with reasonable price. Staffs are so kind to accept your requests. I could not find shortcomings of this place. Of course, it will be a strong candidate when you visit Fussen and their famous castles.

We booked a night at the Krone to finish up a day at Neuschwanstein with a couple of friends from the US - we had booked three rooms and called in the mid afternoon to warn the hotel we would be arriving late and to confirm we could still eat. The staff at check in were friendly and welcoming and we moved quickly to get to the restaurant. Food was excellent, but the service was poor resulting in us finding out too late that the kitchen had closed before we finished our meal, which the waitress explained was not her fault... this was frustrating. The rooms were comfortable enough, but hadn't been updated in 30 years. The WiFi to the rooms was poor. Views from the balconies are stunning - this area is well worth a visit.
