Gonzini127on 17/08/2017 03:36Very quiet little cottages perfectly located on the north end of the island near the lighthouse and beach. Oh and did I say it's quiet? I slept like a baby. There is bicycles available for you if want to explore the island by pedaling. We will definitely return.
Believe the great reviews - Wonderful cottages on Sanibel!
Thinking_Vacationon 07/08/2017 05:52So glad my wife found this place - wowed by the great reviews of prior guest, and we were not disappointed! Dawn was great to contact prior to the trip, and sent us a text to let us know our room was ready! We stayed in Island Sunset, which is perfect for a couple. The room was very clean, with a very comfortable bed. The bed was a little high, but no problem for us. We used the beach wagon supplied by the Inn to carry our items down to the beach (5 min walk). That beach was not overly crowded (as it was just to our east at the lighthouse area). Before we left, Dawn was able to show us a few other rooms prior to those guests arriving, so we could have ideas when we come back again..... which is not soon enough!
A little gem
TOphotoladyon 28/07/2017 22:21I spent 4 nights at the Tarpon Tale Inn & it was wonderful. It's an older 'hotel' that has a beachy, cottagey feel. The one story building has rooms that flow round the building, each unit with its own front door and little patio area. In addition, there are more tables, hammocks, comfy chairs & benches to enjoy. All surrounded by lovely trees & plants. The room was great, done in a tasteful yet comfortable style, again, the beach, cottagey vibe. It was clean and had everything I could need. The bed was nice and comfy. The AC was a bit loud as many have mentioned, but I'm a light sleeper & it didn't stop me from getting a good night's sleep. There is no pool, but the beach is a short walk and it's a beautiful beach. Complimentary wagons, beach chairs, bicycles, and so much more to use while you're a guest. I loved my stay & look forward to a visit again in the future.
Lovely little slice of paradise
Bill Bon 23/07/2017 21:34I had a wonderful stay at this small inn. The inn has fewer than a dozen units and is easy to find on the main road. The place is well maintained and the rooms are clean. We had a nice room with fully equipped kitchen, and a large comfy bed. The inn includes free bikes for your use, which are great to ride to the nearby lighthouse and anywhere else. Across the street is a nice cafe and ice cream shop. A short drive away is a great grocery shop, Jerry's.
Best. Ever.
beckylaliberteon 21/07/2017 04:58This lodge has ruined all other lodging experiences for us... no one has met our expectations like Tarpon Tale! They are so welcoming. They left a little "Welcome Back" sign for us in the office on our arrival. They gave us access to bicycles, beach umbrellas, caddys, and beach chairs... all at no cost. They even invited us to leave our car and hit the beach until we were ready to leave even AFTER checking out! There is an adorable common area with a shared propane grill (which we ALWAYS take advantage of) with several nice sitting areas. They have a table large enough to accommodate at least 6 people. They units are well stocked with everything you need to cook a good meal and are quick to give a solid recommendation on where to visit/eat on the Island. This is our go-to spot!
