A simple but enough hotel
cora3181on 22/06/2017 03:32Rooms are spacious, clean but simple. They provide self-laundry service which is good to travelers. Buffet breakfast but not many choices. Close to JR station, 羊山公園, and some other shrines, all within walking distance.
Tatami style room
Thye Hon 31/12/2016 11:52They have tatami style room which can accommodate a family of 4. Breakfast expect simple Japanese style and some different bread. Convenient free parking at the back of hotel. Quiet town with some nice soba stall around vicinity.
Good location, reasonably clean, unreliable internet service
TheloniousRinpocheon 03/08/2016 09:08Stayed three nights in July while touring the area temples. Comfortable bed, reasonably quiet, good sleep. Central location only a block from the Seibu railway station. Post office, convenience store, and bakery are right down the block. Helpful though hardly friendly staff. This property has seen better days and is in need of refurbishment. Plastic fittings have yellowed, carpet is thin in places, sometimes even peeling at the corners, furniture is nicked and dented. Room size is generous for a business hotel. Internet connection, both wired and wi-fi, was a constant source of frustration. Not sure why, but it is the only hotel in Japan at which I had to repeatedly fiddle with settings and even then connection was often slow or even nonexistent. Breakfast is fairly miserable fare. Skip it if you can and get something from the convenience store or nearby bakery.
we lived here for three days in May this year.

Very nice for a business hotel
hashihimeon 11/01/2015 15:07I was in Chichibu doing part of the pilgrimage route. Thinking this was a business hotel, I booked a Japanese style room; without a bed rooms often feel roomier. The room I got had a foyer and an eight-mat room, so very spacious.
You do need to lay out your own bedding. I was staying a couple of nights, and knowing I would be out walking all day till evening, I didn't put my bedding up the next morning. When I returned it had been put away. Felt bad about making work for the cleaning staff.
I was on an upper floor, and so if I opened the blinds had a great view of the city.
The hotel is very close to the station--a couple of minutes walk, and there are a number of restaurants near the station and on the way to the hotel.
Breakfasts were quite good, if not with the largest selection. There were also, I think, sufficient Western items, if one wished.
