Good Hotel
signsun1202on 12/06/2017 07:57Hotel Route-in is a good hotel with location. Rooms are very small but well maintained.
Breakfast & food is also good, but western food options are limited. Due to its location it is convenient to visit near by places. Shopping mall is 3-5 mins walk from hotel
Extremely convenient and cheap
wvzjxqon 27/11/2016 12:04Nice place next to the train station. You can take the bus here also to Mt Haguro, which is the only major tourist attraction around, but highly worthwhile. The staff was nice and polite, and the breakfast wasn't bad at all. All in all a good stay.
Business Trip
Marco100192on 25/06/2016 11:16The Hotel is very old, smells old and is really just useful for a short night with a lot of beer before.
They did not had a non-smoking room anymore since the hotel was fully-booked, so i had to take a smoking room, which was the worst. They offered me such a smelling spray to get the smell away.
They have a small Japanese Bathroom, which is clean and fully good.
Breakfast is japanese, so nothing for me
Convenient location, good service, small average room,
setotravelon 23/11/2015 10:25Location: 3 minutes walk from JR Tsuruoka train station in a mixed commercial and residential area. Not heavily populated as the central core Tsuruoka is few kilometers south from this hotel. Convenient for train travelers, but not for Tsuruoka core city life culture seekers (though there are some reataurants nearby that serve local foods).
Interior Decor: Fairly modern, but not fancy. Simple and functional. Slightly better than average.
Exterior Appearance: Medium size hotel near JR Tsuruoka train station. Average. 10 floors.
Outside view from the room I stayed at (911): Tsuruoka city center and mountains in the background. Good.
Room Size: Approximately 16 square meters. Small. Bathroom is also small.
Room Cleanness: Spotlessly clean. Great job!
Price and Value: Cost performance wise, very good. It certainly saves time for being located near the train station for the train travelers. For amenities offered, the price setting is adequate.
Services: Simple complimentary breakfast. Free wi-fi.
Bathroom: Very small.
Bed: Medium softness. 140cm width.
Cheap and convenient
flathead53on 04/05/2015 08:44Stopped here because it is the closest place place to visit Mount Haguro, the most accessible of the Dewa Sanzan sacred mountains. Clean, with lovely helpful staff, comfortable beds and pretty quiet given its closeness to the station. Another major bonus is, being a business hotel, it has washing and drying facilities. Machines were 300yen and dryers were 100 or 200 per half hour. Only had breakfast on the first morning and it wasn't anything more than servicable.
