Yes and no

Yes, the Rovira scores highly with regard to its location, but no, its rooms are dull and of low standard. The bath in our room was actually smaller than a lot of shower trays ! None of the rooms, we were told , have a double bed and the twin beds are uncomfortable. The staff are quite unfriendly and indifferent to their guests requests. Wi-fi is hopeless.Fortunately, we didn't let all of this spoil our wonderful weekend with friends in Cambrils.
Cambrils is a stunning marina town with beautiful beaches, plenty of restaurants and has several good hotels, but the Rovira isn't one of them.
A bit disappointing

We chose the Rovira for its location, which is ideal in terms of being close to the beach and to the centre without being noisy. The recent report here about "plenty parking in front of the hotel" failed to mention that it is paid parking June to October (€1.10 an hour) so we were forced to drive around a bit to find free parking on local side streets which was not easy!
The hotel itself is a bit tired and in need of refreshing: our 2nd floor room was small, painted a strange deep orange colour, and was dark, but at least the aircon did a good job if rather noisily. Our bathroom was tiny - a decent shower in a sort of wet room arrangement that made the whole space damp and humid. Not ideal in a hot climate. The staff did not engage - not much English spoken (most guests were Spanish or French).
We elected not to eat in their restaurant at night - looked rather expensive for what was on offer, and in any case there are many options available out. Breakfast on their side terrace was just ok - not a great selection but it did the job.
Overall, at €77 a night B&B (inc IVA) is was an average experience at a fair sort of price. I wouldn't want to spend a whole holiday here - but for a night or two it did a job.
Cambrills itself is an attractive town, day and night compared to its awful neighbour Salou!
Location!

Excellent location right off the beach.
Rooms are a bit old fashioned, but generally nice and clean.
Where they fail is the restaurant. It is excpensive and lacks any creativity whatsover. With so many alternative eating options nearby, there is absolutely no reason to eat in Rovira.
All in all, a good and affordable option to stay in Cambrils, but find some other place to eat.
Seaside location

Have stayed here previously. There was plenty of parking down the centre of the road in front of the hotel. Our room was well-decorated and clean and had side views to the sea. The beds were a bit short but the room was clean and well-maintained. Out of season the hotel does not do evening meals except at the week-end. We had wonderful food at the Casavella, a restaurant on the sea-front.
Comfortable hotel for short break

Three family members stayed at this hotel in March. We had a comfortable triple room and good breakfast included. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is an ideal location on the sea front across the road from a beautiful beach and promenade and very close to a great shopping area and good restaurants. We had a sea view balcony which though small was adequate to soak up the sun. Room was quite warm which was nice in March. Cambrils is a lovely quiet area which seems to attract lots of Spanish vistors rather than the usual tourists. Area felt very safe and definitely worth a return visit.
