What People are saying

A Wonderful Stay at the Hotel Santa Fe!

SandyNYC01on 16/08/2017 04:24

We had a wonderful time staying at the Hotel Santa Fe. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly front desk staff. The accommodations are spacious and well-maintained. The concierge was very helpful in providing suggestions for sites to visit in Santa Fe as well outside of the city. Highly recommended.

Another Great Stay!

My husband and I always stay at this hotel when we come to Santa Fe, as well as our friends. The staff are always helpful & professional and the overall management of the hotel is outstanding. We were so pleased as to all the amenities the hotel offered. The hotel had an acoustic guitarist for entertainment one night and a Native American dance performance. The next morning, the hotel offered yoga, then had a special live "eagle" conservation presentation in the garden. Completely amazing! Our friends could not believe how fortunate we were to see this incredible presentation. Outstanding!
We will always come back to Hotel Santa Fe.

Wonderful Service

We really enjoyed our one-night stay with two little kids. The pool was great (had different depth levels for littler kids) and we swam twice, I really loved the landscaping. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and it was spa-like and serene. They opened the sliding glass doors the entire length of the wall which opened to a great natural landscape. Staff was top-notch and so helpful. Gave us bottled waters for the road when we left. The drivers to the Plaza were helpful and really friendly. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

Lovely....

This hotel is a beautiful place - a mix (I think) of an old building with well-done additions. The grounds are nicely landscaped, lots of trees and flowers. The restaurant, Amaya, is set in an enclosed space and the restaurant is open to trees, flowers, a fountain, butterflies, hummingbirds and the outside, weather permitting. The food there is recommended and Mario, our waiter, was outstanding. The lobby and bar area is relatively small but very nicely done in southwestern style. Our room was nice but small, definitely not for more than two and better for one. It had a French door to a small balcony which was so pleasant with the rain and the breeze in the cottonwoods. The room does NOT come with a coffee maker which is awful for those of us who drink coffee frequently during the day or night. There is a coffee set up every morning on each floor, however, if you want it otherwise, you must buy it at the bar. Bed was comfortable, bathroom adequate. No noise from elsewhere in hotel but location is not the best. It is on a busy Santa Fe street and there is occasionally lots of noise. Of course, we had the doors to the balcony open so.... This seems to be a destination hotel. There is a spa and pool but we never stumbled across them. I thought the prices in the restaurant we're surprisingly fair and the room comes with $10 coupons which can either be used at the breakfast buffet ($10) or towards a menu item. Parking is adequate but you may have to walk a little bit and it's included in the (extra) $19 per night resort fee. So is dog walking in case you take Fido. All in all, probably won't stay there again. Not because it wasn't nice but I didn't think it was a great value.

A Nice Hotel

In town for a week of meetings, we decided to venture outside the Plaza area and chose to reserve (and stay) at the Hotel Santa Fe. We reserved a Junior Suite for a very reasonable price.
We arrived by car and pulled in to register. The hotel has a wonderful, if typical Sant Fe adobe pueblo style. Nice and well situated on Paseo de Peralta, it was very car convenient. Parking was never a problem during our stay.
Easy check in them up to the third floor. Room was fine. Seating area and a desk area occupied half the room, while a large king sized bed and bathroom area occupied remainder of the junior suite. Bed comfortable but a particular peeve of mine are those pillows that flatten to pancake thickness the moment your head hits them.
The bathroom area abutted the bed, with no door separating the two. Turning on bathroom light flooded the bed with light. One sink. No real storage space for cosmetics (which is important, believe me)! A door did separate the sink area from the toilet/shower. Shower was large enough, but only a very small holder for whatever shower accoutrements you wanted to leave in there.

The pool was quiet and the pool area was clean and well kept. Comfy lounges. Hot tub in the area as well
The public spaces were nice. The lounge cum indoor dining area was comfortable and there was a lot of seats to lounge in. The bar was adequate and the margaritas were excellent. Interestingly enough, there was no coffee maker in the room. There is coffee provided in the lounge near elevators from 7:00 am through 10:00 am. I'd suggest a robe (provided by hotel) for the coffee runs.
The outdoor dining patio is wonderful. Cool and shaded in the evening and warm and inviting in the cool of the morning, it was the perfect place for the very good food from the kitchen. Service was good and relatively attentive. And the breakfast buffet was a good mix of breads and fruits. Coffee was excellent.
The biggest surprise was an unexpected and very much appreciated service. The hotel recognizes that it is a bit off the beaten (i.e. Tourist) path, so they offer a shuttle service to the Plaza and surrounding streets. A free shuttle service which will drop you off AND, if you call the hotel, they'll send the shuttle out to fetch you and bring you back to the hotel. Understand please, that the hotel is really just a 15 minute stroll from San Francisco St, so this shuttle is much more a wonderful convenience rather than an absolute necessity.
The hotel is clean, comfortable, cool and convenient. The staff were always pleasant and always helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return visit
