Good rooms great food friendly helpful staff.great location close to town and near to rail station.live entertainment some nights.we go in December because here are Xmas markets and a great atmosphere in town.the hotel has outside area with heaters for those who smoke

Sadly disappointing

Was looking forward to staying at this hotel for one night on business but was left disappointed.

Upon check in, we were advised the hotel does not accept credit cards. What hotel in today's age does not accept credit cards? Sadly this hotel is no longer an option to stay at for business due to this reason.

Secondly we arrived late and at 8.05pm requested dinner at the restaurant. Again sadly they advised it had now closed (at 8pm) and we would need to find a restaurant in town. Not what I wanted after a long day travelling.

The staff were lovely and helpful and i enjoyed the small rooms but we stayed on a hot evening and roasted with no a/c or even fans.

I expected an iron and ironing board in the room to iron my shorts before a meeting but had to go downstairs and get one and no boards so difficult job just to get a shirt ironed.

It was a lovely place and good value of on holiday or passing through but as for a business traveller hotel, I'd look for alternatives.

We booked this hotel, since the reviews were nice.
The location is excellent, they have sufficient parking and a beautiful garden.
When we arrived we were surprised to learn that you cannot pay with a credit card, only debit cards are accepted. Also you have to buy tokens to pay for your coffee and drinks.
They offer free coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon. The only problem is you have to find a waiter.
Our room was on the top floor and the weather was hot. You can open the windows, but if it starts to rain (what happened to us) everything gets wet. There is another system, but then you can only open one window a little bit.
Another problem when you have your windows open is the noise. Trains pass by every 15 minutes and its very close. Also we believe it were geese making a lot of noise during the night.
Next morning we went to the front desk and we were offered another room. The following two nights we slept excellent.
The rooms are basic but clean
Breakfast was excellent, we did not have dinner, so we have no opinion.
Next time when in Valkenburg we don't mind staying here again, but will book a room at the front side of the hotel.
Our conclusion: nice hotel for a reasonable price.

A nice hotel with clean rooms and warm hospitality... However they do not accept Visa when I was checking in.
Love the garden! And this hotel is within walking distance from the station.
Buffet breakfast was simple but nice with DIY orange juice

Stayed here as of a coach tour
Hotel is nice and clean with great staff, very friendly who all speak excellent English
We had a room with a slope in the ceiling due to the roof which was very low and made it easy to bang your head getting in and out of bed
Rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable, though more pillows would have been nice
Paying for drinks was a token method so you had to buy from the reception then pay at the bar
Drinks are quite expensive
Food was a good selection buffet and nice and hot
All in all ok
