Beautiful SPA, high rate for old rooms.
Lemonitakion 26/04/2017 08:56Don't trust the pictures when booking this hotel; you might end up in one of the rooms that hasn't been renovated and then you'll be paying a really high rate for a room that really isn't worth it. The hotel staff is really friendly and the breakfast buffet is extensive. I enjoyed the SPA with the view over lake Sorpeese, but the quality of the room destroyed my experience. The furniture's old, and the room was freezing when I arrived due to the heating being off even though it was in the beginning of April. Took almost a day to raise the temperature to regular, and before that I was so cold I had to warm myself under the cover when in the room.
Quiet and Relaxing
Marky509on 29/11/2016 16:44The rooms in the new wing of the hotel are just wonderful with a modern styling, although the rooms in the older part of the hotel are also more than acceptable.
You have the choice of an excellent restaurant or a Bistro next door should you want something less formal. Breakfast is a very good buffet with plenty of choice
There is also a fantastic rooftop sauna & swimming pool
Stay in the new wing
Shen_Jacksonon 08/10/2016 10:50You will have to do a bit of walking, but try to stay in the new wing of the hotel. I was told that they are going to renovate the old wing to match the new standard. My room was huge, and comfortable, WiFi and breakfast were also great. Staff was friendly and competent. The light switches were just too complicated.
Great Rooms in the New Wing!
Doug Ion 05/09/2016 15:35The rooms in the new wing of the building are really great. Perfect "modern" German design with lots of room and cool details. We had a "Junior" suite with a patio and enjoyed it very much. We had friends that stayed in the older part of the hotel and said it was rather cramped and outdated - but that is not true of the new rooms. Get them if you can!
There is also a fantastic top floor with a sauna, pool, and relaxation/spa area. It's not crowded and perfect for spending some time alone.
The restaurant is also quite good with a great breakfast included in the room rate. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Andrew Son 22/08/2016 07:45This hotel is located well for visiting the dam and having a walk.
Parking in a Wednesday night can be hard in the summer months as there are events on the dam but this gives a great atmosphere.
I didn't use the hotel restaurant so can't comment. It did though always seem busy.
Staff at the desk seemed ok.
The room was ok. It was in the old building. Your paying for location if you are in this building.
The beds are comfy enough and it has the facilities you need.
Probably would try the hotel again if I could be located in the newer building.
