Great value
Bangoroldstaron 13/02/2017 22:04This is 20 mins walk out of town; little, if any, English spoken. A locals pub as has bowling alley; dart boards in separate room. But also think buses use it. It was very good value; clean big room; the bed was very comfortable. The food looked quite basic but didn't eat here as went into town. Alcohol looked very cheap if you wanted a drink!
Easy downhill walk into town but get a map in reception (get a taxi back!!).
Would definitely stay here again. Parking free (that was a reason we stayed here as more difficult in town).
Breakfast was good value and typical German breakfast!
Quaint hotel

The rooms are priced above average considering that the hotel is located 3km out of the city centre. The rooms are adequately equipped. The breakfast is a standard fare. Non German visitors woule appreciate an alternative to filter coffee😊, as weĺl as an additional person serving breakfasr on the weekends. The restaurant serves the typical dishes for the region. The portions are large so don't heistate to ask for a smaller serving. Plenty of parking available and late check in with prior notice is a bonus. Overall a pleasant experience.
excellent stay, spotless hotel and great experience
Craig Bon 02/12/2015 01:38We drove into Schwabisch Hall on the weekend, 1st weekend of Christmas markets and couldn't find any rooms in town- I called Hotel Sonneck, their English was excellent and they accommodated us. They are about a 7 minute drive out of town but an excellent location and quiet community, the hotel appears to cater to large groups, buses and parties but gave us very personal service. This hotel is spotless, our room was spacious and all of the dining rooms, breakfast room, etc..were very nicely appointed. I would stay here again if in the Schwabisch Hall area- we had room 50 which appears to be one of their comfort-doubles, huge room on the top floor-
Excellent Hotel
Nugentalice17on 23/09/2015 10:40Sonneck Hotel is very clean, very modern. Has restaurant and the food is delicious. Also has a pub and car parking. Hotel is not immediately in the city of Schwabish Hall, it is about a 7 minute car ride.

MandWK28on 15/12/2014 22:06This is a good way of describing how to get into town from the hotel, without driving. It was an easy walk, altho' I wouldn't want to do the reverse trip as it would be mostly uphill.
The hotel was very nice - large room with a shared terrace, large modern bath & an excellent German- style buffet breakfast. The attached restaurant also served very good meals.
There was a local bus to take you into town if you didn't want to drive altho' one must be careful of the schedule as it changes on the weekends.
Schwäbisch Hall is a lovely old town & was particularly beautiful at Christmas Market time.
