Cosy little place
andrewryandubon 16/06/2017 10:16Stayed here last November. It is a small hotel located beside the train and bus stations. Restaurant is good but has a small enough breakfast. Rooms are very small but that wasn't a big problem for me
Not to my liking
608jerrolon 19/10/2016 15:34Stairs to upstairs rooms dangerous , so steep and narrow. Every night had issue with room , not cleaned one night , toilet problem , no soap etc. . Breakfast was good and included.Location opposite train station and bus terminal was convenient and close to shopping and old centre of town.
Very good for transport links & close to the town.

Lets start with the positives, it is in an excellent location, very central really good links for transport and close to the city centre. It is was clean we received clean towels daily and the room was also cleaned daily. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Negatives, lack of pillows only able to give us one, the rooms are very basic no tea & coffee facilities. The breakfast lacked choices only cold meats & a lack of cereals. it would have been nice to have had a choice of hot breakfast on some days. I was on the ground floor and as it was so hot we didn't even have a fan, and did not feel safe opening the window all night. I was quite disappointed at not having a balcony room as this is advertised on bookings.com site and it is evident that this is not the case for all rooms. It would have been nice to have a reception/lounge area, with grounds that you can sit and relax and not on the pavement outside on the main road. The stairs to the upstairs in the hotel are very steep so not good for people with mobility problems. I felt that this was more like a small guest house rather than a hotel. Also be careful when booking this via booking.com as there is a cancellation charge, which I was not aware off when booking and the hotel will not waiver this, this is also a reason why I was not able change my booking when I discovered much more updated hotels. If you are looking for a base in this area, then this hotel is fine. If you are looking for comfort and leisure this is not the place.
Home base in the Netherlands
Celeste Gon 24/07/2016 23:05We stayed here in June 2016 and loved the convince of being close to the train station as we used this as our home base. They made us feel very welcome on entering and took us to our room. No elevator and the stairs were quite steep. If that is a problem choose another room location. We loved having dinner here after a day of sightseeing and what a pretty room for dining. Would stay here again should the occasion arise.

Andrezedon 09/07/2016 18:25There is nothing glamorous about this hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was sufficient - but not bountiful and could have benefited from a few additional buffet options.
The remarkable part of this hotel was the welcome from the staff and the service we received during our stay. Above and beyond and made for a very nice stay.
One of our rooms was quite large with a huge porch off the back. Ask for this room - I think #7 - when you are booking. It is very nice if you want to eat or have a happy-hour in good weather.
Bike parking was secure and a mix of covered and uncovered.
