What People are saying

Excellent hotel and excellent location

skinsmulhallon 15/08/2017 16:16

Stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel was excellent. The rooms were very clean & spacious. Staff extremely helpful and spoke English. Location only 1 - 2 minutes walk from the Grand Via and very centtral on the Grand via near the galeria and shopping areas. most tourist attractions are within anything from 10 - 20 -30 minutes walk from here. There are plenty of bars and restaurants neer by. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again

Courteous Staff , Good Rooms, Sparse Breakfast

BongSumoon 18/07/2017 16:13

Stayed for 6 nights here and couldn't be happier. Walking distance to Gran Via and Noviciado Metro.

A minimal but sufficient breakfast is included, in the basement area. The staff is really courteous and helpful. We found them to be quick and responsive, unlike some of the other hotels around.

Worth every penny.

City break

Check in and check out was confusing.

Extra charge to hire a kettle €5 Euros take your on cups and coffee as none given.

Room allocated to us was the tiniest dullest room on 2nd floor It was dark, very poor natural light and I couldn't wait to drop off bags and go out.

Location of hotel was excellent, didn't do breakfast had a look and decided pastry shop opposite side of road looked more appealing.

It lacked a bar or outside seating and therefore it's a good two star hotel at the best.

perfect location. that's it.

we've stayed for 3 nights in this hotel this spring. you can feel STRANGE smell as you enter in the hotel lobby. they said that we can check in earlier , but we had to wait for 4 hours for our room. there was not free bottle of water in the room, no coffee or tea , just minibar. very poor breakfast , we used to have breakfast outside , because of that. unfriendly staff. it is really difficult to for hotel employees to understand English.
rooms are not wide enough for such a lot furniture.
also you better take rooms with balcony, to have normal view, because rooms without balconies have view on the staircase.
i had a view on street and good for me :)
the only benefit of this hotel is location. 2 minute walking distance from Gran Via.

Clean, comfortable hotel in the heart of Madrid

Karen Mon 21/04/2017 16:40

We stayed for 7 nights in April. The hotel is in a central location with good access to Metro and bus routes. It is only around 10-15 mins from the Royal Palace, Opera and La Latina areas - all walkable distances. The rooms are a decent size - we were in 212 -at the back of the hotel, looking out to apartments/hotel next door, it was a clean, quiet room. I have read negative comments about the breakfast - yes it is basic - 3 assorted ham, cheese, pastries, cereal, yoghurts and fruit - but that is what a continental style breakfast is. We thought it was no worse than other hotels we have stayed in but admit it could be improved. However, it sets you up for a good start to the day. The conseirge at the main reception desk are a credit to the hotel, welcoming, informative and patient (when you try to speak - very poor Spanish!) we always felt they took an interest in what our plans were for the day. I know this is a British thing but the addition of tea/coffee facilities in the rooms would be a great idea as there don't appear to be any areas in the hotel where you can access drinks outside of breakfast hours. If we returned to Madrid we would definitely stay here again.
