Great Location, Affordable
AnnieKatson 25/08/2017 16:41We stayed here for 1 night before we caught a flight back to Los Angeles using credit card reward points. The location is terrific as it's walking distance from the bus station (a rather LONG walk) as well as the city center where there is tons of shopping and restaurants. We stayed in a top floor corner unit with 2 twin beds. The room was small but clean, and we liked that there was a window in the bathroom. We would stay here again if the price was right.
One thing to note is that upon exiting the hotel, they ask you for your key. We had a lot of expensive camera equipment, so it was a little unnerving having to leave a key at the front desk. When we returned, the front desk man did remember us, but it seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to get a key to someone else's room if you're sneaky. There are no in-room safes.

shellyCoventryon 02/08/2017 21:05Just stayed room only as had family staying at Cala bona , was clean and tidy and staff lovely , but couldn't stay again as no air con and omg it was so hot , I used the ceiling fan but didn't do anything , my little boy ended up staying at Cala bona with my family as he was really struggling with the heat , I didn't shower or get ready there as it was to uncomfortable, air con is a must I'm afraid 😳

Ola Con 24/07/2017 20:32Based on reviewed on tripadvisor we weren't sure what to expect from this hotel - rooms were supposed to be small (same as bathrooms) as well as not that clean... It either wasn't true or we were really lucky, as our room was pretty big with nice and comfortable beds (may be a bit short for really tall ppl though) and nice bathroom. Our room was cleaned each day - nothing to complain about!
Location is perfect - train station, main beach, city center etc. - all in a walking distance. It was very close to the main street, though it wasn't loud at all.

joleneireon 20/07/2017 11:15Hotel Sur has friendly helpful staff, excellent cleanliness and is in a perfect location (parallel with Alameda Principal) for exploring all the tourist attractions on foot. 24 hour reception, air conditioned bedrooms, optional buffet style breakfast, free map, reception staff speak English, could not fault this hotel.

Christine Ton 16/07/2017 19:41This Hotel is very central to Malaga 5 mins to the harbour and to the town centre. The staff very friendly and obliging and the rooms very functional and clean shame no outside space but a great bar just out the front.
