IYERSSon 26/06/2017 17:16Stayed in Norbugang on the last visit. Found it to be an excellent place. The Tashigang resort is nowhere close to the same. Lucky only a night stay. The room although having a view of Kanchanjunga on a non cloudy day, is not upto the mark. Not clean. Had to have it sprayed with insecticide to keep away insects. The bathroom too was not clean and needs to be redone. The beds were uncomfortable. The food was a let down.
Long Way to Go!
GuptaMeg_27on 17/06/2017 10:53First of all, let me tell you, this place is not in Pelling, its 9kms away from it (in Geyzling), which really didn't make any difference to us because we really liked the location of the resort. Its quiet with beautiful views!And that's why an extra star to them.
Considering its a resort, the rooms are just basic with no carpets. The washrooms need to be maintained properly and the cleanliness was poor. The breakfast-pathetic and they don't believe in even providing alternatives. Try and get to the buffet the moment it is put up or you will have to eat stale cold- scrambled eggs or omelette. They refused to make anything fresh in the breakfast-especially the eggs.
Unfortunately, we had to extend our stay here by only a couple of hours while our tour operators were deciding whether it was safe to go to Darjeeling or not which was our next destination.
The lady at the reception was only bothered about our check out-she didn't care if were stranded.
The place definitely has a long way to go considering that it is owned by Danny Denzongapa's family. This was the only place where we found cold behavior in the entire Sikkim tour.
Amongst all this, there was only 1 person who deserved appreciation-Tashi(I hope I got his name right) at the bar. Extremely warm and polite to talk to. Wish he could provide customer experience lessons to the entire staff. Well done Tashi, you are doing a great job!
Super And Beautiful Location

Food quality is also good. View from the room in the morning very good. In my opinion full paisa vassal. Staff of the Resort are also very friendly and cool. In short must visit hotel.
Comfortable stay with awesome view
Nikesh Mon 27/05/2017 14:55The hotel is located at the mountain top overlooking valleys on either side. It is little away from the pelling town and very peaceful. Our driver said if the weather is clear you would be lucky to see the kanchenjunga peak from the hotel. Though we were not lucky. The open area around the hotel has super colorful full blossom flowers.
The front desk staff were very cheerful and prompt in response and our check in was pretty smooth.
The hotel rooms has old setup with granite tables and furniture which are placed at every corner. This makes the room look small and cluttered. However, it is clean. But the room had 2 single beds merged to make it a double bed.
The restaurant is sufficiently large. It had nice buffet spread for breakfast and dinner satisfying your hunger. We also got jain food when demanded.
Overall, good option in pelling. In fact it is such relaxing that you can opt for 2 night stay at least.

Narayana Mon 26/05/2017 05:30very nice hotel. people who live in cities like Bangalore will find it enjoyable as it is very quiet place and most enjoyable. Good staff ready to help guests and make their stay most comfortable. sight seeing around Pelling is easy from this place.
