What People are saying
Very bad experience just enquirying the place
Shashikson 05/02/2017 05:56Let me state this clearly: I have not stayed at this pathetic place but went there to just enquire for a room for 2 nights and the review is based on this experience.
First, they were reluctant to provide a room to one single man. So the
manager / care-taker calls up someone and then agrees to show me the room. Very average looking room which I could have still managed. But then they ask me extra charges for towels and toiletries in the bathroom. Absolutely no professionalism in behavior whatsoever. Feels like you have arrived in some "dharmshala".
They really need to understand that men traveling alone are still human and not all are criminals.
Probably The Best One Ever Visited !!!!

Arguably the best among the (very) few budget hotels in Saputara
TheDroidsteron 20/05/2016 19:09This one was reviewed highly on many websites and you will find that the appreciation is totally justified if you happen to stay here. Saputara is a comparatively costly affair when it comes to hotels and food. Budget hotels has a very different meaning in Saputara (:D). What tends to be the price of a lavish experience in other places seems to be the starter (read "bare minimum") package in Saputara. And believe me Saputara has very few of these to be honest (you will realise that in your hunt for a budget hotel room in Saputara). This is where Hotel Vaishali outshines its competitors. It provides a wholesome experience that does not burn a hole in your pocket and yet gives you the satisfaction of a fruitful stay that you deserve. Big thanks to Mr. Jatin (Manager) and his skilled staff for being very understanding and accommodative of our requests. The month of May is not the best time to visit Saputara honestly, but the hotel made our stay that much more pleasant and worthwhile. The rooms are goodish I would say (read "budget written all over them"). The A/C was functional and made the heat "bearable" to say the least. The staff is very co-operative and promptly tends to all your needs. What truly gives this hotel its flavour is the mouth-watering fresh food that they serve for dinner and breakfast. If you are a "fan" of Gujarati Thali you will love the food, if not you will still walk out satisfied with a full-stomach(take my word on that). Nothing like hot rotis served with 3 different vegetables, sweets, chutney, chat and dal. Need I say more? Do give this one a try if you are a frequent visitor to Saputara and haven't stayed here yet. For those visiting Saputara for the first time like me, I would highly recommend preferring this over others if you are looking for a budget hotel. Trust me you will not be disappointed. My family thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the experience for sure. So thank you and good luck.
Good hotel, friendly staff
MumTrotteron 02/01/2016 18:19I visited Hotel Vaishali from 13-15 November 2015. Being a long weekend just after Diwali, the rates were on the higher side. So let me give a snapshot of the hotel, I will rate the hotel from 1-10 , 1 being worst and 10 being the best
Rooms : 6/10
Remarks: Room are clean and spacious. TV doesn't work. Hot water is not available all the time. Towel, soap and shampoo is provided by the hotel.
Food: 8/10
Remarks: Probably the best part about the hotel. We were served delicious Gujarati Thali for lunch. The hotel owner and managers were kind enough to make food according to our choice for dinner.
Location: 7/10
Remarks: Hotel is situated near Saputara Lake. You need to take a right from the Lake if you are coming from Naskik/Mumbai. 10 mins walk to the Jain Temple. Lots of activity and restaurants are there near the Lake area.
Service: 5/10
Remarks: This is one place the hotel needs to get better at. Lack of information also was a big drawback. One good thing is that hotel had arranged a magic show which was entertaining.
Overall: Good place to stay if you get the accommodation at a good rate. Definitely not a place to splurge!
