We return to the Verwall every 4-5 years in the summer (and occasionally in the ski season), every time it delivers in the basics (cleanliness and peacefulness) and then some. On top of that the food is of a quality you rarely see in some of the best restaurants around the world. There is also the year on year investment, this year was a whole new spa wing with saunas and gym. All this coupled with most generous and pleasant of hosts makes it a winner for us.

1st Class Hotel

1st class hotel. Everything about the hotel is exceptional from the helpful and friendly staff to the amazing food, this hotel is probably the best hotels I have stayed.
We stayed in a suite and it was everything you could want, spaces with the boutique feel and look.
The SPA is huge and everything you need in a SPA (massage was ok, I have had better).
Food was beautiful too look at and even better to taste.
The surrounding area is beautiful and has everything you need for an outdoor or relaxing weekend.

Would highly recommend this hotel!

In The Mountains you'll find Hotel Verwall

Through the Wanderhotel network we found the Hotel Verwall. At a reasonable rate and with breakfast, the fee associated with this small hotel was worth a look. We decided on a two night booking and extended it to three nights after a great walk in the mountains. Our room was small but the Hotel Verwall off sets that with multiple open areas where you can sit freely and enjoy the hotel.The recently completed spa is off the charts, With multiple rooms, saunas, an indoor pool that is really cool you can enjoy your stay. What was absolutely the hidden gem in this location was the chef Christian. His philosophy "to focus on regional & light cuisine," is fantastic.

Very nice hotel in beautiful Austria

Verwall is a very good hotel with modern beautiful interior design, placed in a quiet town of Gaschurn. Our room had beautiful white coloured real leather rotating armchairs and a bad with white coloured leather back. We slept very well on a mattress of a very good quality as well as bed linen was perfect, clean, fresh and of very good quality. Bathroom was very well equipped, comfortable and clean. There was also a balcony with wonderful view to the mountains. Breakfast was tasty and there was a choice of several kinds of cheese and ham. But the best part of this hotel was the staff. The ladies on the reception and in the restaurant were so nice and friendly that it could not have been any better. We really enjoyed staying in this hotel and would have definitely book it again. Good value for your money.

Superb Hotel

Just returned from a fantastic weeks stay in this Hotel. I honestly cannot fault it in any way. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was very modern and comfortable with two sumptuous rotating chairs. There was more than sufficient storage for ski wear and clothing which is sometimes a problem in hotels. The food was absolutely exquisite, both in variety and quality and was certainly a cut above anything experienced in similar star Hotels. Spa area was large and luxurious. The shuttle bus to and from the ski slopes was efficient and prompt with minimal waiting time.All in all, probably the best hotel we have stayed in.
The ski area is sufficient for a weeks stay and most suited, in my opinion to intermediates. There is plenty of scope for off piste if required and the scorpian routes are a challenge.
There are some slow lifts which require replacing and more mountain ski huts are required as they do get very busy.
