Second visit and still recommending it!
Barnsey9999on 28/05/2017 14:01I had stayed here a few years ago at the request of a local colleague. I was back and keen to give it a second go as I was going to be in town for several days. It's really better than I new in the first instance.
This time I had a chance to do some walking around and try a few local restaurants all of which are within walking distance.
The staff of the hotel are very nice and put up with my poor German. They offer a nice brekky spread and have a fitness facility. The treadmill is in German so that took a little work to sort out.
The rooms are "efficient" but with such a nice village, you should be out walking around!
Wonderful Boutique Hotel in Beautiful Bamberg
Bsta23on 26/05/2017 08:24My wife and thoroughly enjoyed our two night street in this wonderfully accommodating boutique hotel. Our room was small, but nicely appointed and very comfortable. The staff was warm and extremely attentive. I highly recommend the hotel restaurant for dinner as well. Simply delightful!!
Very luxurious hotel
ajknellon 21/09/2016 21:23This hotel is a short walk from the centre of the old town, so an excellent location. The room was clean, tidy, well presented and of a good size with very good quality furniture. There is an under ground car park which is secure. It is a point of calm to return to at the end of the day. Breakfast was a magnificent feast of hot & cold buffet either set in the gardens or the inner breakfast area. Food is not served on a sunday evening, this is not a problem with the number of places to eat in Bamberg old town. I totally recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here on a future visit. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful
Not Sure They Know What AC Really Is.
Will3642on 13/09/2016 16:16This is a beautiful hotel right next to the old section of the city. We checked in there specifically to take advantage of the air conditioning as it was very hot. We did NOT get what we paid for. We called the front desk and they came up and fiddled with it saying they thought it was OK. When we showed them it was not reaching the temperature noted on the setting they showed us a second room with the same problem. We got more cool air from an open window than their AC. That said everything else was excellent. The food was good. The breakfast layout had all you'd want to eat, but it was not free. I'd recommend a stay here in the late fall, winter or spring...but not during the heat of summer. Oh, yes if I'm not mistaken we were told parking was free. It is not.

Pebbles2007on 10/08/2016 12:31This place is beautiful. The rooms were clean and modern. The location is excellent! They have parking if you happen to be driving to Bamberg. The price was a little high, but you won't find a nicer place that is so close to everything you want to see in Bamberg. Breakfast was also great and typical of what you'd find in Germany. We only stayed one night here, but would love to visit again to enjoy the city and the hotel longer.
