Stayed here for one night in shoulder season. Rooms with a view over the river were spacious and bed was huge. Shower was just a trickle which was disappointing. Spa Services were unavailable. Male receptionist should not be in the hospitality industry!!! Breakfast was good.

Probably the best option in Druskininkai, but some rough edges

Druskininkai is still struggling to emerge as a spa destination post Soviet Union collapse. Most of the properties in town are remodeled version of the Soviet sanatoriums - soulless, hulking, reminders of why it all cam crashing down.

This property is a small, boutique villa one the river within a short walk from the waters and various spa services. The setting couldn't be more peaceful.

The property itself is new and well laid out. The only gripe is the fact that the sound insulation was appropriate for a private home, but not for a hotel. You could easily hear the conversation in the hallway and the television in the next room. Make sure you get the river view, it's well worth it.

The room was nice, but the lack of air conditioning can be a problem if the day is hot. Th bathroom was nicely tiled, but the fixtures were rather cheap and the shower stall was plastic - not really appropriate for the level of the property of the room.

The service was friendly, but not always efficient. The breakfast was good, but the music was a bit much. The pool/spa area was minimalistic and the fitness center was represented by one machine. Wifi did not function properly.

Overall - this is a very good property which has a chance to be a great property. In any case, this is probably your best best in Druskininkai.

Good place to stay in Druskininkai

This hotel is located in a beautiful old-style villa in the centre of Druskininkai by the Neman river. Hotel offers gym, baths and small whirlpool pool. Nice and polite staff, very good breakfasts. Very big and comfortable beds.

Poor ventilation in the bathroom and lack of air-condition in the room. It was impossible to open mosquito net in the window. I have booked two rooms with the same standard and the same price, but one looked much different from another – one was spacious with beautiful river view and second one was much smaller and without a river view. There was no free drinking mineral water in the rooms – only at extra cost.

An Awesome Place to Relax

The Hotel Violeta is one of the best places to stay in Druskininkai. It's located right by the river Nemunas, which makes for excellent surroundings. If you want the best view from your room, it's an extra 3 Eur per night. (Trust me, it's worth it.)
The rooms are spacious, with heated floors in the bathrooms.
The quiet atmosphere is great for relaxation as is the range of very reasonably priced facials and massages.
There is a small pool and steam room downstairs which you can use for free as well as a small gym.
The Hotel restaurant is one of the best places to eat in the whole of Druskininkai, with a large selection of healthy and nutritious food, served with excellent presentation.
The food is also very well priced, averaging 4 EUR for an entree and 8 EUR for a main course. All the ingredients are locally sourced, making it one of the best hotel resteraunts i have ever had the pleasure of eating in.
The staff do speak some English, but not alot. However, all the menus and spa treatments are in English (as well as Russian) so you can just point to what you want.
