What People are saying

hotel is good but it is not for a longer beach holiday

ailibreon 23/08/2017 11:30

We stayed in Vis for a week in August which is a pick holiday time.Beach was overcrowded ,stony and no shadow without umbrellas.Too expensive to rent a bed and umbrella on beach,it cost about 10 euros a bed for one ,with umbrella for two about 20 euros.Beach is very small, not so attractive. But water is very clean and it was warm.
Hotel rooms are clean, they work every day.Only our balcony was not cleaned. We changed the room,Our first room 306 had no park view(what I had booked)but parking view. From our balcony and window we could see just cars and carbidge containers, not a good deal to have a week holiday! And the opposite workers house
was directly to look into our room.I think all the rooms with numbers 304.302..have the same problem.
After some days we got another room on 2nd floor and it was better. To be sure not to see cars and the street, better book a seaview room.
Breakfast was always cold,no taste for eggporridge or sausages. But very good warm croissants.Fruits always good.Juices terrible, from machine, artificial.Coffee also not good, instant from machine.
But very good dinners.Always things to eat, pork meat, cow meat, fish or chicken.Good fruits.Room was OK with a good AC which we switched off for times.Very ancient TV.
People in reception were kind.By bus 15 minutes to town. Tickets from driver cost 15 kunas, from kiosk 12 kunasBut Dubrovnik was very overcrowded at that time.Prices for
food are very expensive too.It was very hot in August 33-35 degrees.

Lovely Hotel, great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are basic but have everything you need. The Wi-Fi is of good quality. Breakfast is standard and the beach area is perfect for relaxing. I would recommend this hotel in Lapad.

One Night and off we went

Booked on the same day as stay during high season. Price was right. Location near beach was just what we were looking for and room was spacious. Breakfast inclusion is always nice along with free parking. Thanks Hotel Vis.

VERY BAD HOTEL. RUINED MY HOLIDAY

BadExperience3on 28/07/2017 09:07

1) Cleanliness was a very big issue. Arrived to a dusty room. Floor and curtains were dusty. Even the hotel information booklet had dust on it. The shower curtain was yellowish.

2) Secondly and perhaps the most severe and annoying problem was the parking facility. Since there was free parking, I decided to drive to the hotel. Drove up to the front of the hotel and could not get through the gantry. Stopped somewhere and went to the front desk and asked about free parking, receptionist told us to park at another hotel a little down the road but that was full as well. So I parked beside the gantry, and I made sure to leave enough space for cars to pass (I estimated there was enough space for a bus to pass as well). Next morning we left for a walk around town, came back at noon and saw a traffic police officer issuing us a parking ticket. The hotel had called the police to move our car away because a delivery truck could not enter. BUT that wasn't our fault because at the front desk, I could constantly see my car clearly through the video of the CCTV at the gantry. If we weren't even allowed to park there in the first place, someone from the front desk should have notified us within the 15-20 hours that my car was parked there. But they didn't seem to care. Talked to someone we presumed was the supervisor (not in uniform) about the fine and this was exactly what he said: 'it's not my business'.

The fine set us back 300kn. What pissed us off was that the hotel did not take any responsibility of the situation right from the start. There were over a hundred rooms, and there was only a parking space for a maximum of 10 cars. When we expressed our problems, no one from the reception was willing to solve it either.

I would suggest staying at some other hotel that is not under the same management. Pay a little more and you can stay in a much more decent hotel.

(The presumed supervisor was a slim and tall white male, around 1.9m tall, in his 50s, and had a beard)

Not my hotel

location is good and this is a plus ...
but the rest need to be significantly improved ! Rooms need a "face lift' , rooms on a back have a strong smell from kitchen , front have a noise from kids :-)
Yes , if you are with a little kid - this is your place - but i am not interested hearing screaming babies - sorry.
But the most frustrating part - they say there is a wifi - DO NOT believe it , there is NO WIFI in the room! you need to sit in the lobby like an idiot given 6 hours difference with US.
I have been in the most remote islands and 3 world countries - but this place has NO wifi !
so i do not recommend this hotel !
Food is fine , but only if you come right on time , also ladies who serve you have very little manners - instead of offering clean plate for trash they just scoop everything and give it back.
