Excellent hotel surrounded by a fantastic landscape

Fantastic hotel in a prominent position, surrounded by greenery overlooking the valley and the mountains. Quiet and luxurious hotel with spacious and elegant public areas. The Swiss Hospitality of the owning family and team members was highly appreciated. The owner was a great host and guided us in the region with his passion for the nearby beautiful places with their histories, for local made food and wines produced by local artisans. We also ate several times at the hotel, the menus offered were excellent from the appetizer to the dessert . The hotel has an excellent choice of wine kept in a very valued cellar. Thank you Felix and team for your hospitality and passion. I will definitely come back with my family to make some beautiful walks in the nature, for skiing in winter, to know better the places and their histories, taste the local delicatessen and wines and for a bit of relaxation. See you soon....

Grande dame of Swiss Hospitality in stunning surroundings

A grande dame of a hotel, reminiscent of true Swiss hospitality offering amazing views of the mountains and country side surrounding the area. Wonderful team and very warm and hospitable owners. A short weekend getaway, an amazing drive up from Milan, and such a breath of oxygen away from our busy lives. A place where time seems to have stopped, a flashback to years gone by, where everything is calm and peaceful, where one can here the cliquetis of the cows in the fields and birds singing. A true escape for total relaxation and forgetting all the rest...Would love to come back with the children who would just adore looking at the mountains still covered in snow and for long walks in the forest...Thank you Felix and your team for an amazing stay!

The Waldhaus keeps alive in suberb fashion the time-honored tradition of the European grand hotel: the warmly hospitable Dietrich family, the extremely competent staff, significant architecture inside and outside, fine cuisine, excellent facilities, spectacular alpine setting.

Wonderful family holiday

Our 6th annual stay but our first with the new management team . Amazing .
The new General Manager is uber professional and ever present around the hotel . Approachable , charming and in this new , revamped and entirely sensational new hotel nothing is too much trouble for him or his team .

We were worried that our two rampaging children would be unwelcome in the swish new surroundings but not at all . The children were even invited into the kitchen and our young 9 year old daughter was given the most beautiful framed memento of the old hotel which she took great pleasure in showing all her teachers at school .

The staff here are now , almost without exception , young , keen , exceptionally well trained and focussed on providing excellent customer service . But we were also delighted to see a few of the old staff here - who were as welcoming as . Fabulous - ask to eat in the private dining wine cellar - a throwback to the old hotel but the chef will design a wonderful local menu served with local wines . A wonderful end to our holiday .
We have already booked for the same week next year !

The hotel is just lovely. The staff are incredibly helpful and courteous and are there to make your visit better.

the new spa is nice, surprised by how modern and minimalist it was, but some nice jacuzzis etc
