What People are saying

Very nice hotel for affordable price, but some things could be improved

Sepistoon 13/02/2017 14:27

This is clearly a very nice hotel with large rooms, kind and efficient staff, and a small spa. The spa is very simple, a pool with water of questionable cleanliness, a yacuzzi with no water at all, a sauna which is not very hot, and a gym with only a stepper and a statiinary bicycle. The WiFi worked in our room as well, and was fast when it worked, but sometimes didn't work. The breakfast was ok but nothing special. So for an affordable price you get a hotel that is above average but not perfect, and has got a small spa where to relax after your treks. They add the 20 % VAT to the price, unless you pay in cash.

A bit of a walk to the main part of town

teamturtledmdmon 14/11/2016 22:31

The room was large and reasonably clean. There was lots of hot water. The room was very hot at night which woke us up. Because we were on the ground floor it felt a little insecure to open the window. The buffet breakfast had a choice of pastries and bread, cheese, ham, jams and butter as well as coffee or tea. Whole fresh fruit was available. The place has no character; it is rather like a business hotel.

ONE NIGHT STOP OVER

swift314on 22/04/2016 12:25

To be honest the hotel was fine for a one night stop over before a flight back to Buenos Aires - it is about 15 minute walk from the main town. Room was comfortable and service very good. As it was the end of the season they even allowed up to keep the room till 3.30pm well after the usual checkout without charge so we cant complain. yes it could do with a little TLC but no issues here

Out of date broken hotel

R00bon 01/01/2016 14:25

This hotel is broken. Bubble bath in 'spa'. Broken. Sauna out of order. Pool (mini) filthy. Shower in spa, fragmented. Wifi in hotel 60% of the time offline. Breakfast only sweet and no fresh juices or fruit. Service and beds are ok. You can hear your neighbors. Not worth the money.

A decent hotel!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights with my family, we booked two rooms for the four of us (however one would have been enough since the rooms that were given to us had two double beds, but we didn't know that until we got there).

The hotel is right at the entrace of the city, it is about a 1km drive from the city centre, so I would say that this hotel's location is quite good, in addition it was quite easy for us to find this hotel!

The staff were not exactly welcoming, when we arrived they didn't talk much (I don't think I could even call that a conversation), the reception person gave me the room keys, told me the breakfast time and that was it; no further briefing about the hotel's facilities (they have a pool apparently and a spa) and he also didn't even bother to give me the wi fi password, I had to come down again to ask him about it.

When we got to our rooms there were no towels, luckily the cleaning lady was in the hall, she was very kind and we bumped into her a few times during our stay, she was the nicest staff of the hotel.

The rooms were quite spacious; my room was on the second floor with two double beds, a decent sized bathroom, with a TV and radiators. I was quite pleased with the room (I just missed the mini bar but oh well)! In addition the room was well cleaned, it always smelled nice whenever we walked into the door (however I noticed a funky smell in some places of the hallway on the first floor).

The wi fi was as I read on the reviews; pretty much unexistent, it would only work at the main lobby next to the reception and the signal was alright. It did not work in the rooms (only after midnight we were able to get some signal), I reckon they only have one router for the whole hotel (and the hotel isn't exactly small).

The hotel did offer free breakfast but I did not have the chance to try it since it was always PACKED with people around 9h30am and there were no tables available til then, that's probably because I went during the high season.
My mother however tried their breakfast (since she is an early bird and was able to get there around 8), but she really did not like it at all, she told me I didn't miss much...

Overall I had a decent stay at this hotel, not sure if I would recommend it nor stay there again but I also cannot say I had a negative experience, it was just ok!
