Ok but not great
Pauheuon 07/10/2017 20:47If was only hotel in Melville would be ok but that is not the case. Advertised to be newly renovated but seems to be just quick and easy fixes. Hot continental breakfast was terrible
Decent small town accommodation
Maizie2015on 22/09/2017 18:55I've stayed at this motel several times over the past years. Few changes other than the name. The worn carpets are still there. The formerly good restaurant has been replaced by a complimentary hot breakfast for guests. Nice, except the food is tasteless and cold; coffee is weak and lukewarm. However the coffee packets provided in the guest rooms is good. Our room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated having a microwave, fridge, and dining table. The motel is within easy walking distance of a grocery store and pizza place. We also appreciated being able to open a window to fresh SK air! The staff is friendly and obliging -- if you can find them! This is a decent motel, but leave your big-city expectations at home!
Howard Johnson hotel
hildawron 09/09/2017 05:43Unusual that on a long weekend the hotel was not busy. Staff really good. On arrival bathroom counter not cleaned properly. Hotel has been renovated. However the bathtub faucet was very difficult to set and the key for the door was more than difficult. The front door was locked at 10:00 PM. Was not advised on checking in. Was able to phone and thus the other key.
One night stay for a golf tournament
John Lon 28/08/2017 21:04The Howard Johnson in Melville is an older hotel with newly renovated rooms. The inside of the hotel and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The girl at the front counter was very pleasant and even let us check in early as we were to be gone all day in a golf tournament. Over all I would recommend this hotel.
