Good Facilities, poor food and lack of Personal Care

The place its one of the most historic hotels in the area, and its recicled and convert to brand new and fully functional, but the big issue is the lack of personal care, only the guy in the lobby its great, the rest, including the casino and dinning room staff, with a lack of service mind set.
The food its totally over priced and the menu its really short, the half of the courses are not available. Breakfast its decent... its breakfast. At the casino the same situation like the restorant. The issue is that the bar its not fully provided with stuff they need, so the waitress runs into the dinning room, in side the other hotel area, to bring you food and drinks, most of the time.

Avarege and overpiced.

I stayed here for 5 days and really liked it. This very old hotel of the 1920's has been redone very nicely quite a few years ago. The rooms are spacious and nice with a wonderful view over the sierras and the pool. It's clean and service is very friendly. Breakfast is argentinian, yes, but it's good. I like the medialunas and the dulce de leche. But if you like to have a hard boiled egg they do that too for only little money.
I really liked my stay there.

Great restaurant and friendly staff

I stayed a week at the HJ Sierras at the end of June 2013 and it was clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly but didn't speak much English...which I can understand since I was in Argentina, but I was told that all the staff speak English...not so much. All the front desk staff spoke some, and one waitress had excellent English skills.

The food in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend the burgers and steaks.

Wonderfull rooms

Location and rooms are superb. The hotel although quite old is very well mantained and the Casino doesnt bother. It lacks of course "the good life" of previous times, and the decorator following american trends forgot to make a cosy living room.
Room cleanliness although quite good should improve.
