Well maintained with home town staff
597josepheon 02/06/2017 00:16The hotel has 42 rooms, movie theater and nice lobby. The staff was friendly and very helpful through out our stay. For being a 10 year old property, the owners have kept this hotel up to par. Get to the "limit item" breakfast. It needs an upgrade. Biscuits and gravy, cold cereal, yogurt and bread is about it. There are other options with in walking distance. Also, bigger TV's in the room would be great. I would def stay again.
Basic hotel with nothing extra to note

I arrived bed just after a power outage and the check in staff was overwhelmed and testy about the system being down and had little ability to adapt to proceed with check in. She called someone, got direction but was just not pleasant. She was on next morning and was getting her coke from the vending machine and texting on her cell phone rather than keeping the breakfast stocked. I had to find her because there was no coffee. The food ran out in several places, no back up milk. She didn't keep coffee creamers refilled. Add to that that we the guests had to have better humor to keep her responsive in her place of bad attitude.

Amy Ron 07/05/2017 14:15We have family in the area and decided to stay at Howard Johnson rather than crowding them. It was a great stay. We would have liked a better breakfast selection, but it wasn't a deal breaker. We will definitely be back.
