Idyllic Tuscany

We stayed at Il Pezzatino and found it a wonderful place to stay. The estate is centuries old. It produces wine and olive oil, both for sale with shipping available. Alessandra, the owner is a lovely and very accommodating host. If you arrange for her dinner offerings, prepare to be amazed. Easy access into Florence by train. Having a car is an advantage but we were able to walk the half mile to the train station in Scopeta easily enough. Buy your trenitalia tickets on line or at the kiosks in the stations.
Wonderful hospitality! Quiet and restful.

We arrived in Tuscany with a reservation at an agritourismo that was less than satisfactory as my daughter in law was ill and we needed a warm , comfortable place, so we pulled into a small restaurant and got on the Internet to look for a new place. We checked them out on Trip advisor, sent out emails and decided Il Pezzatino would be our choice. By the time we drove there, Alessandra was waiting for us with two lovely warm rooms freshly made up. We enjoyed every moment of our week at this lovely farmhouse. She kept the rooms cozy and warm for my daughter in law and we had the farmhouse to ourselves. If you go, you must have Alessandra make dinner for you. She is an accomplished cook and uses fresh local products. She is also extremely knowledgeable about Florence and Italian products. The olive oil from their farm is delicious and we managed to bring a bottle home which we savour.
What a Lovely Experience

This is a truly beautiful estate. The rooms were spacious and the setting divine. It is a good location to visit Florence. The hosts were charming. As a bonus, we brought home some of the olive oil...yum!
Heaven...

Il Pezzatino , was my first time stay in a farm house. Room was authentic and very clean. View is amazing. Alesandra the owner was very kind and welcoming, she made our two days visit a stay to be remembered. Tuscany is an amazing part of Italy , simply heaven on earth.
Superstrada holidays

Before I booked this place, I asked the owner if it was quiet. She said yes. Thus, according to "Larousse"/"harraps", quiet, (quietus in latin), means calm, peaceful and tranquility. When arriving, we immediately felt something was wrong with her definition of "quiet". The noise from the road is awful (we weren't bothered by railway though...maybe because the sound of trains was hidden by cars), from the swimming pool but also from the bedroom. We were expected to stay 1 week but we left after 2 days because of the noise. It's sad because rooms are nice and so is the swimming pool. Though, breakfast is not very good. One more disappointment was how the owner acted when we explained our problem: very rude, not listening, and hypocrite. A superstrada is there, it´s not possible to hide it, maybe some people are not bothered by noise, but we, living in paris (which is not the most quiet city in the word), couldn't sleep even with earplugs. She could just have understood, instead of being rude to us.
In conclusion, perfect place for lovers of "Grand prix de Monaco" or mechanic engineers.
