Chris Yon 21/11/2016 14:24Just a one night stay but a very pleasant one. The room looked as if it had been very recently decorated and the bed very comfortable.
There is private parking available but you might want to turn in your wing mirrors when driving in :-)
Just about average room, but eat elsewhere.
Brandane62on 08/09/2016 18:37I arrived in Barneville Carteret after a long cycle ride, and could not face another night in a cramped tent. I saw this hotel and decided to give it a try. The room was ok.. Basic but at least it was en suite and comfortable. 2 single beds though, rather than a double.
Reception staff were 2 young females who were friendly and laid back, but laid back to the point that they came across as a bit disinterested.
I ate dinner at the hotel, and this is where it was disappointing. I chose one of the set menus. Starter was ok (prawns served whole, with mayonnaise). Main course was supposed to be "boeuf bourgignon" which I thought was beef stew. It was more like a very thin soup, served in a bowl. There were 2 small pieces of beef in it, and a few slices of carrot. That was it; no accompaniments in the form of potatoes, chips, or veg.! Then a dessert, which was good, but still I was hungry after paying over 20 euros for my dinner. Not good enough.

nick7pon 16/05/2016 15:05Rooms very basic, small but functional, free wi-fi , breakfast not very good in a tiny breakfast room , two ladies on reception one Morgnette or similar a delight the other who's name I don't know rude, miserable and surly .
GOOD, WELL SITUATION HOTEL
elmer20132015on 13/05/2016 12:39We booked one double and two single rooms for one night on our way back to the ferry and were very pleased to find a clean, comfortable, friendly hotel.
The staff were very helpful when told that the two single rooms were for guests with mobility problems and they very quickly made sure that ground floor rooms in the annex were allocated - much appreciated.
We did eat at the hotel and, with a small exception, we were happy with our dinner.
We certainly would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a short stay in Normandy.
Better than expected
MVO_911on 28/09/2015 22:50We booked this hotel as it was the only one available for the period we needed to be there.
I was a little concerned about space and cleanliness, but this was unwarranted. The room wasn't large as we are used to in chain hotels, but it worked. We stayed in the room at the street side which was large enough for four and a baby. The breakfast was good and well worth the price.
The staff was friendly and helpful too. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a decent place to lay your head.
