Charming
Nina Con 14/09/2015 17:12Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting St Tropez & were very happy with the hotel. The owners could not have been more welcoming & hospitable - rustling up a delicious sandwich as we had missed lunch whilst travelling from the airport.
Rooms are comfortable, with air-conditioning & free wifi & very reasonably priced for close proximity to St Tropez. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Tranquille place
petersb207on 12/09/2015 10:51We stayed here at the beginning of our vacation and enjoyed it very much. Nice little tradionally old (but very clean) rooms in an amazing building outside the city. By car you are everywhere shortly. Breakfast is set in the garden where it tastes even better.2 friedly dogs. Highly recommended place!
Renovation
GiovanePlinioon 20/05/2015 11:13The hotel has still the atmosphere we tasted at the time of our first visit. some 7 years ago. Nowadays, this is not a plus anymore. Rooms need a massive renovation and refurbishing. Especially if you first meet the garden and the swimming pool area, perfectly maintened, and you get to the rooms, poorly decorated, with a few lights and disappointing bathroom services. People are used to good services and nice locations, guys. Upgrade yours. Cote d'Azur and Provence is a must, indeed. But better locations has spawned nearby. I really loved your place some years ago and I hope you get my suggestion in the right way.
Cosy relaxed hotel near St. Tropez
ground_otteron 22/08/2014 15:42La Pierrerie is a cute, family run, relaxed little hotel in the quiet countryside a stone's throw from Grimaud, Port Grimaud, and St. Tropez. You do need a car, bicycle or scooter if you are staying here
The family is very nice, accomodating, and helpful if you need any advice on finding anything in the area. The property has a nice swimming pool with sun-loungers, which will make you feel as if you were hanging out outside your own home in the South of France ;)
You can have breakfast or something for lunch in the pretty patio overlooking the pool during the designated times, but coffee and drinks throughout the day. The kitchen hours are strict so if you want to have lunch, don't leave it until 13:55.
Rooms are simple, with air-con and good shower pressure. Be aware there is no fridge in the rooms and having your own food is not really allowed due to ants.
St Tropez is about 15 mins away by car if there is no traffic, and you are very close to other pretty towns like Grimaud and Gassin.
For the location, the price/quality is very good, and the clientelle is a real mix, which is great.
Unfulfilled expectations
Tuculatteon 28/10/2012 11:17Looked great in the photos and looked equally good in person. We had a simple room with a nice table and chairs outside. We could see ourselves having some wine, baguette and cheese for dinner while relaxing in the nice south of France evening. It was nothing like that...
We were told we were not allowed to bring food or consume it on the premises "because of the ants will visit us". So we could not do anything at night but stay in the room - don't forget that the place is a bit out of the way so it was not a matter of walking to a nearby restaurant.
When we asked for an iron and ironing board for our clothes, we were told that normally they do that (for a fee, of course) but in the end we got an iron, and were told to use the bed as an ironing surface...
The garden also needed some serious trimming.
The internet was sometimes working, sometimes not, was very slow and you had to be at the restaurant to be in the wi-fi range, i.e. not available in your room.
On the positive side, the breakfast (not included, about 12 Euros per person) was quite nice. But maybe we would have preferred to eat our own at our table outside our room?...No choice but to eat their breakfast.
In short: It's a shame. Looks ok, but we didn't feel good there at all, like imposing on someone's home when they offer you a room for the night. Would not stay there again.
