I have been staying in this hotel for over twenty years, sometimes making a diversion of over 200km to ensure an overnight stop. In the winter it is wonderfully cosy and snug; in the summer there are tables outside. The rooms have all been refurbished in the past couple of years and are very confortable, if a bit small. The restaurant is superb, and most times when I have been there, there have been parties of 20+ and wedding receptions most weekends. Their skill is that, unlike so many restaurants, even if you are on your own and there are up to a hundred other diners, they will still make you feel special. The croute forestiere is to die for and worth going for the more expensive menu just for this dish. A family run hotel/restaurant among the very best.
