feltisjson 16/05/2015 18:48I would have rated this hotel as a 3 however there were many shortcomings in service. First the pros: the property is beautiful. Additionally the hotel is located close to Mao Zedong's childhood residence. Inexpensive taxi service is readily available to all major attractions.
The con's: This is the first hotel I've ever stayed in where there was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. When we enquired, pwe were told we had to purchase them separately. The toilet seat was loose. The shower drain was so slow the water overflowed on the floor. WiFi was slow to non-existent. At 5pm we had to request housekeeping since our room wasn't attended to. The A/C worked sporadically.
We finally moved to a much finer notel in the city center.
