Do not book for Shuttle - SunTrust Stadium Shuttle Fail

We booked this hotel solely because it offered a complimentary shuttle to the Atlanta Braves baseball game. We arrived 15 minutes before departure and found a crowd of 40 waiting for a 14 passenger van. The driver took a group and came back but still not enough seats (so they packed up another van). In addition the driver was completely uninspired, leaving a van full of passengers waiting to depart as he meandered about the lobby. By the time we arrived and got into the gates, we missed the pre-game.

At drop-off we were told that there would be pick up at 10:30 and 11 p.m. We left the game early in hopes of catching the 10:30 shuttle but missed it by a minute - it was driving away. At 11:15 p.m. and no sign of a shuttle, we called the hotel who assured us that the shuttle was coming (which it did not). After four more phone calls from us and another family and a prolonged Twitter conversation with @HyattConcierge, the flustered night auditor sent a hotel staff member with a van at MIDNIGHT. We waited for 90 MINUTES with 6 children and were the ONLY people left in the transportation area. One couple chose to walk the mile back to the hotel and another who were physically unable to walk hailed a taxi ride at 11:50 p.m. spending their own money.

Meanwhile, the Wyndham Atlanta Galleria had already sent a shuttle twice during the 11-midnight hour. If you want a shuttle to the game, the Wyndham is where you need to book.

The rooms are spacious but each day they left us with only 2 towels for 4 people. We did not use any hotel facilities other than the room as we were there just to attend the baseball game.

Nice rooms, but...

The room/suite was very comfortable and spacious. The plumbing in the bathroom needed work. $10.00 to self park your car was ridiculous especially when there wasn't enough parking. You had to drag your luggage up a big hill.

Convenient location and unexpected roominess

Our travel group of seven appreciated the complimentary shuttle to the company we were visiting. The driver knew the routine and that we would have to register in one location and that he would transport us to the meeting location. Invaluable! A taxi driver would not have known that essential piece of information.

Not nearly as nice as expected

The hotel's upgrades and remodeling looks very nice and contemporary, but there were several areas that brought down the overall standard and class of the hotel: the keypad inside the elevators looked nasty and dated; upon exiting the elevator on the floor to the guestrooms, the windows look hideous and in dire need of cleaning; inside the guest room, there was a very noticeable stain on the carpet in the main area that I could tell they tried to clean it, as it was still a little damp; the lamp inside the guest room was torn as well, making for a poor presentation. All these factors make it impossible for me to continue to book our special guests at this Hyatt, which is certainly disappointing.

Overall Nice, Need Exhaust Fans

The hotel in total was very nice and the staff was friendly and courteous. Our rooms were cleaned and stocked well daily. The only problems we had were with the bathroom. Our sink did not drain well and the hot water was slow to warm. The bathrooms do not have exhaust fans which leaves things in the entire room feeling a bit damp. I would still recommend this hotel as the rooms are clean and spacious.
