Very nice stay
Abhiroop Son 15/08/2017 21:02The hotel is a five minute walk from Aachen Hauptbahnhof, and one can easily walk with luggage as well. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Check-in is at 2 pm but you can check in early if you take a free membership with Accor Hotels. The 24 hour café is also quite nice, offering a variety of sandwiches and snacks. They also have a bar.
The rooms are basic and exactly the same as other ibis hotel rooms. Bed linen was clean. The bathroom was quite small though. Otherwise, clean and nice. Would recommend.
Classic ibis near Aachen train station
Ken Con 03/08/2017 21:50Quiet hotel down a street from the HBF, on the same rise with the railroad. Standard room with ensuite bathroom with a stall shower. Privacy extra door. Faced out over a park, with downtown down a mild incline. Elevator worked well. Wifi connection good and free. No apparent computer for common use seen. Staff friendly and helping.
Good location
Keith589on 26/07/2017 22:58We stayed here for five nights while visiting our daughter. The hotel is about five minutes walk from the station and well placed for strolling into the city centre or down to Burchesheide. Our room was compact but had all we needed (though a fridge would have been useful) All storage was on open shelves which might be an issue for some. Breakfast was the standard ample continental buffet. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'd stay again
Noisy room, insufficient blocking of light, Incompetant staff
Arun Kon 09/07/2017 21:45I stayed here for 7 days, paying more than a 100 euros a night for a queen-sized bed. What I found was a pretty average room about 12 m^2, not worth more than 50 euros a night. Add to it the fact that the room was not at all sound proofed ( you could here all the goings-on in the corridor and the street outside) and the fact that none of the windows had shutters and the blinds were insufficient to completely block out the spring sun, which shone until 9-10pm at night, contributed to very bad nights overall. If that wasn't unpleasant enough, the incompetent staff locked me out of my room twice, by disabling my key card for some unknowable reason and then when it was time to leave tried to charge me for a parking space for a car I did not have.
Motorcycle tour
Fasteddie69on 14/06/2017 22:56Spent two nights here with a group of friends on a motorcycle tour, staff were all friendly had breakfast on the first morning which was good, they have excellent basement parking which is secure, the only downside is the rooms are very small. Great central location which is close to town centre but not too close and the back rooms are nice and quiet.
