Good stopover
HCB911on 27/06/2017 18:22The location is very good, just off the autoroute, and the staff were very helpful. Despite booking ages ahead we were given a room miles from reception, close to the motorway and with the afternoon sun on it during a heatwave. There is no air conditioning in the hotel. We were lent an electric fan which stirred the hot air a bit. No question of opening the window - far too much traffic noise. The room was small and clean but adequate like most Ibis hotels. The wi-fi was weak and kept going down. The self-service breakfast was satisfactory and there is masses of free parking. I can't comment on the evening meal as we drove into nearby Avranches for an excellent dinner at Le Bistro de Pierre (see seperate review).

BigG Mon 18/06/2017 20:10Really good location for onward travel south or north. Restaurant dinner menu not brilliant but breakfast choices very good - helpful staff. Excellent restaurant within 5 mins walk - Le Poivre Rouge.
Bedroom and shower room far too small but adequate for 1 night stopover, reflected in the room price.
A surprisingly good stay.
raymondcBillinghamon 04/06/2017 15:18We booked the Ibis for three nights while we toured the area, visiting all the places we had 30 years ago. All we wanted was a place to lay our weary heads after a days sightseeing. What a pleasant surprise, not only was the hotel very modern in décor but the rooms, although a little bijou, were very clean, very comfortable with everything you require for a pleasant stay. Complete with a walk in shower, wifi & restaurant / bar it certainly was not what we expected for the price. The food was pretty good, not gourmet but very nicely presented & cooked, although a little limited in choice. The highlight of the visit was the staff, very pleasant, very friendly & especially helpful. Our French is limited to say the least but the staff ensured that with their limited knowledge coupled with our even more limited knowledge we had a most enjoyable stay. It may be another 30 years, heaven forbid, before our next visit but we shall certainly give the IBIS another go.

cleopatra son 31/05/2017 09:53The hotel is very good, but it is far from the city (Avranches). The room is very good (the one I stayed with did not have a fridge). The ambience of the hotel is very pleasant. The hotel's terrace offers the opportunity to have a cup of coffee after breakfast. Breakfast is satisfactory and you can have dinner at the hotel in the evening. The staff is kind. Parking is very large and the area is safe.
Great Location for Visiting Mont Saint Michael
2torontotravelleron 04/05/2017 23:11We only stayed at this Ibis for one night as we planned to go visit Mont Saint Michael. This is a perfect place to stay for this site. It is only a short drive and this hotel is located close to the highway. Parking at the Mont Saint Michel site is about 12 euros, with free shuttles going to the site. The reasonable price of this Ibis hotel room beats the price you would pay if you stayed at the hotels at the shuttle site.
The service was good and friendly. The room also has storage if you wish to unpack. The room is adequate with nice linens and a comfortable bed. It also has free parking.
We ate dinner at this Ibis and it was very good and reasonably priced.
