Budget option close to Old Town
erickL9392OOon 12/06/2017 20:47We checked into this property the day after staying at the Ibis Regensburg City. We explained to the Receptionist that we had a very noisy room by the stairs and that we were needing a good night's sleep and requested a quiet room. We were given the room key to a room on the first floor not only beside the stair well but also the lift. We went back again to the front desk and were moved - to a room at the other end of the hall by the other stairwell. We couldn't believe it so went back down again and would you believe were given a room on the third floor beside the stair well. Fortunately this door was softer to close but hanging the DO NOT DISTURB on the door didn't improve the noise. My husband is also able to speak German so it wasn't a communication problem. Whenever we went to Reception, we had to call out to find a staff member on several occasions. I also was uncomfortable being told to pay the parking and room up front and not at the usual check out time. We are a married couple in our early 50's. The shower had a curtain which was yellowed with mould. The parking at E15 a night was expensive. The walk into the centre of town was good.
Perfect Location
Craig Kon 19/05/2017 07:54Great Value at this IBIS. Fantastic location right in the heart of old town. Supermarket around the corner, room as always with European IBIS was clean with a very comfortable bed, staff were extremely friendly and always helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and our welcome drink (Silver Status Accor) of two Bamberg Local Beers was soooo good after travelling from Prague that day. Highly recommend this hotel to travellers.
Excellent location, basic services
GJune44on 10/05/2017 20:38The location was perfect with almost everything in walking distance. The price online was reasonable, when we arrived early the extra night was much higher. The room was immaculate but small. Only one towel per person, as per Ibis policy. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was not included but several cafes in walking distance had good options. The garage was 10 Euro a night but very convenient as it was directly in the old town.
The WIFI is disappointing

I didn't get any privileges despite I'm a platinum member of ACCOR Club especially on car parking as those parking spaces which are closed to reception are allocated to other clients whom are staying there for one night while I stayed there for 3 nights.
Great value for money

Parking available at the hotel which is a bonus . Very friendly and helpful staff. Great place to stay for business or pleasure trips.
