Good enough
Jacek Kon 25/07/2017 20:17Fast and professional check-in. Room at Ibis standard, clean. Bathroom small but clean. Breakfast is modest, but sufficient, everyone will find something for themselves. The hotel is quite far from the center but well connected, near the metro station. Good enough for a short stay.
To clean or not to clean
Janko Pon 23/07/2017 02:40Well ... what to say ... honestly workers at the reception were the only positive about the hotel ... breakfast from 6:30 - 10:00 ... ok that's fine but if you get there at 9:00 you can pick-up leftovers and the little miss that is responsible to refill everything doesn't seem to care if there is no bread or eggs or cheese... hallways have seen better days, don't know if maids clean the whole hotel or only rooms but they sure need someone who will get the job done ...
Near public transport but old
Kevin Son 19/07/2017 19:26The hotel is conveniently located from a transport perspective, being very close to the U8 underground and a EUR18 taxi ride from the airport. However, it is 9 underground stops from AlexanderPlatz and not near any sights.
The area around the hotel is quiet and residential, and has some very good restaurants nearby
The breakfast on offer was basic but good, including a self-make waffle option that made great waffles
The rooms are small and old and there is no aircon - it was very hot in summer and a bit noisy if you leave the windows open to cool the room down.
The WIFI comes and goes.
We expected that IBIS would be a step up from IBIS Styles, but it was about the same as the IBIS Styles properties we have stayed in previously
Although friendly, the staff's English wasn't great
Short stay in Berlin
joachim zon 19/07/2017 12:41Helpful staff but hotel appears very old and really needs some renovation. My normal space room was pretty much "used" according to the various traces but clean. No A/C and leaving the window open during night makes you awake early morning because of traffic on the street and air. Breakfast was good at a fair price. Area is also nice and public transport can be reached easily.
Clean and comfortable
79Holidaymakeron 27/06/2017 16:20I stayed just for one night before a morning flight from Tegel. The room and bathroom were quite small but sufficient, clean and comfortable. Only soap dispenser in the bathroom but I diidn't expect more. Wi-fi in the room was OK. I kept the window closed at night because of a busy street and planes but even with the window opened it wasn't really noisy.
Good breakfast, enough variety and at a reasonable price 10 euros. There are some shops and eateries in the neighbourhood but I preferred to eat in the hotel.
Good public transport to Tegel Airport - a bus stop just outside the hotel and the trip takes about half an hour. Also easy access from Berlin Hauptbahnhof Station.
I'd definitely stay there again before flying from Tegel.
