Return visit, just as good as before but NO restaurant
Jax3501on 13/06/2017 21:33We have stayed here many times before and it is, as ever, a charming hotel with a beautiful pond and gardens at the back, a large terrace to enjoy the sun, a coffee or a drink. Larger than some rooms in the group. No English television. Good shower
They no long do evening meals but have built a larger pizza restaurant- Ristorante Del Arte. Best to book as it is very popular
Still plenty of parking and really easy to find. Definitely recommend 👍
Average
John Lon 22/04/2017 17:08Average budget hotel. The rooms were clean with small bathrooms. Don not expect nice big, soft towels. If you reserve a twin bed it will be on one base with separate linens. Quite a surprise for people expecting completely separate beds. The breakfast was good. Wi-Fi was so slow it was better to use the cell phone signal. Beer was 6 euros for a 500 ml glass at their little bar. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Overnight Stay
Geoffrey Kon 13/04/2017 18:26A reasonable motel for a night or two. Room was clean and fair size. Beds soft and clean. Maybe too soft for some. Bathroom clean and good shower. Small bar in the reception area. Don't expect much choice in drinks. Cost about 63 euros with the city tax.
Comfortable
Michael Eon 04/02/2017 23:36I've stayed at this I Bus several times over the past several years. Very reasonably priced and accommodations comfortable enough. Breakfast is OK to and recommend that you take advantage of this. Location easy to get to and fine with plenty of parking. I make this my go-to place when traveling to the Château-Thierry area.
Not as great as it once was, definitely short of the usual Ibis standards
David Con 19/05/2016 12:24It has been a few years since I last stayed here. The hotel has become a little shabby since then, but is still adequate. The rooms don't have air conditioning, so the only ventilation is by opening the window - which can be problematic if, like us, you don't like the smell of cigarette smoke with seemingly every other guest hanging out of their windows chain smoking.
The room was small, but clean and comfortable. There was a colour TV, a desk with chair and a wardrobe/shelving area but no tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was small but functional.
The Wifi was *painfully* slow, it reminded me of the days of dial-up modems. It was quicker to hook up the laptop to my mobile phone and use the data from there. Based upon this trip, slow data seems to be a general problem affecting Accor hotels at the moment.
Breakfast was quite disappointing and limited, it definitely wasn't up to the usual Ibis standard. The general choice was poor and lacking, and some items were simply missing, which meant having to ask Reception for some more. Reception were helpful and apologetic, but I don't understand why the restaurant staff weren't doing their job and checking in the first place.
The hotel restaurant was closed on the evening of arrival. Fortunately, there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
Based on this stay, I probably would return again. However, I would research other hotels in the area first.
