Clean and basic,but so noisy
Sue1155on 08/08/2017 22:58Hotel itself is simple, clean and comfortable and is only a short walk from the centre of St Jean de Luz.
Advantage is you can park on site which is a massive bonus in a town where parking is a real problem
Disadvantage is that it's situated right near a railway line. Our room was at the front and because it was so hot we had to keep the window open, so the sound of the trains was a problem.
A short break by the sea

For: room was clean and tidy, quiet, the bed was comfortable and there is off street car parking. Street location was pleasant clean and tidy and only a short walk on the flat into St Jean de Luz by the port
Against: IBIS towels are poor - one shower and they are finished, bathroom/shower room door was not fitting properly and smells from the bathroom eventually went after several flushes of the toilet and running of the sink taps (they probably need to clean the effluent traps, which get bunged up with soap, hair etc)
They serve breakfast but we didn't have any but it looked good and I am sure was up to the same standard as in other IBIS's
The staff were friendly and helpful
Would we stay here again yes for the convenience
Not "over the moon"
Hunter B Hon 20/06/2017 12:27Location. - The hotel is close to St Jean de Luz, but about fifteen minutes brisk walk away from the centre, and in an unattractive area.
Accommodation - Not marvellous, but OK for an overnight stay. Not very roomy.
Bathroom - one of these French mounded ones. It was OK, and the shower was good.
We had dinner out in the town, which is quaint.
Breakfast was simple but adequate.
Cleanliness - fairly good.

Kennelliveron 15/06/2017 13:53The hotel was just what we wanted: clean, comfortable and quiet. The small balcony and sea view was a bonus. The staff were pleasant and polite and the breakfast simple but more than sufficient. This was our third visit and would happily return again.
One night stay
HHwinscombeon 17/05/2017 17:45Perfectly comfortable 3 star one-night stay. Room and bathroom and public spaces clean and bright and good 24 hour café/bar. Situated on the other side of the river from the old town, but walkable. Good, secure parking and friendly staff.
