Not for people searching for a bit of liziry
lily23007on 13/08/2017 06:29It's functional. It's purely a place to sleep and wash whilst you explore the beautiful city of Epernay. There are zero frills, not even the opportunity to make a tea in your room, which is always welcome (if you can tolerate the little pots of milk). Beds not bad, bathrooms clean, towels few and small and slightly thin. I probably wouldn't stay here again because I also have a small niggle with the rather officious chap on reception who told us off for eating some nuts whilst we were waiting for one of our kids to come and join us - is the Hotel Manager out there ? .. you need to teach your staff little discretion to paying guests, a packet of pistachios breaking the rules ? Absolutely ridiculous.
Nice hotel without being particularly memorable
shelley9Londonon 06/08/2017 22:51This was our fifth and last Ibis hotel on our journey to and from Avignon. It was the only hotel that was not the Styles brand but that wasn't hugely noticeable. It had no parking but there was plenty around. There was no freshly squeezed orange juice and no free tea, coffee, pain au chocolat or croissants in reception as at the Styles hotels. Other than that the room was fine and the breakfast good. It is very well placed for lovely Epernay and avoided having to go into busy Reims for our overnight stay. All the Ibis hotels have been very clean and comfortable and the interior design is modern and quirky and very clever in how much they are able to fit into what is never a particularly large room. The carpet in this hotel was covered in poppies, presumably its respect for its suffering during the first world war. All was fine in our 5 Ibis hotels. If you want a good value, clean, well located hotel for one or two nights we couldn't fault Ibis.

Sebastian Non 31/07/2017 08:01An average hotel. Very basic rooms which were clean and comfy. However, the lack of AC made it really hard to sleep with the warm summer temperature. The breakfast was OK and so is the location. I would not stay here again though.
Nice breakfast
Kay Lon 27/07/2017 08:12Hotel was in a good location, no parking on site but a decent car park about 5 minutes walk, reasonably priced. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel had a nice bar area where you could get a light meal and also where ther served breakfast. This was continental buffet style but was plenty of choice and everything was fresh, good value for money. Epernay was not as nice Reims but would stay in this hotel again.
Nice hotel in Epernay
Gunilla Won 23/07/2017 14:09This is a nice hotel in Epernay, it doesn't have any intrinsic charm but is situated in Epernay center. Parking in garage available. Rooms are clean and tidy, but of course they look like any other IBIS hotel. Airconditioning was available, but not very effective - it was hot those days. Breakfast is excellent, with a great variety. Much better than other IBIS. Unfortunately the restaurant that used to be there is no longer, but a "bar menu" is available. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
