A pleasant surprise
Katalin Von 05/08/2017 13:57We stpent 3 days in july in this hotel.
The location is good it's not far from the city centre. Parking in the neighboring parking lot is easy and for the nights it is free.
The room was simple but comfortable, the bathroom was surprisingly spacious. Front desk staff speaks very limited English but we could manage.
Breakfast room was simple in college stile, but you could have a proper continental breakfast.
All in all it was a pleasant stay

Everywhere was spotless.
The staff were friendly, the room was huge with wonderful views across the river to the City and despite facing the road the insulation was so good that we could not hear any traffic noise.
The breakfast was the best we have had at an Ibis ( fresh squeezed orange juice, cakes as well as the usual items), and loved the idea of being able to get free hot drinks anytime of the day.
A few minutes walk from the train and bus station and about 10 minutes to the main centre.
Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
Good side, Bad side
M Hon 04/07/2017 13:35This hotel is located near the main train station in Caen. The side which this hotel is located seems safer and cleaner. If you go to the other side of the train station the hotels and area is completely different. All the car rental agencies are on the other side but area and comfort level isn't. There is and Ibis hotel on this side but it doesn't look as good from the outside.
The Ibis Styles Caen Centre Gare is located to a shopping mall and restaurants. The restaurants have a pretty good selection in which to choose from.
The rooms in this hotel are nice. There is enough room to open to medium sized suitcases. There isn't a room phone, refrigerator, safe, tissue, clock or other amenities here. My only problem with this room was the partition in the shower. The partition is half the length of the shower and when you shower a lot of water splashes outside. The staff is friendly and helpful.

drislackon 23/06/2017 20:10We took a university class to visit the beaches of Normandy. The hotel was accommodating and fulfilled all of our needs. It was centrally located in Caen. Great for the students to be able to explore the city. Also, a wonderful place to position ourselves to visit the beaches and the Bayeux Tapestry. The rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and filling (important for students). Highly recommend this hotel.
A night stay at Ibis Caen
Cosairwinon 23/06/2017 12:03The hotel is fuss free. Check in and out was quick. Water, tea and coffee in lobby. Rooms are clean and bath tub of Fiber glass. Discount provided for dining at neighbouring establishments and car parking free of charge till next day 9am.
