Exceptional in every way
Fred Hon 16/01/2017 16:33We had two wonderful nights at Il Molinello. The room and breakfast were great, but what made it particularly enjoyable is the owners - thanks, Sandro, Elisa and Carmen! We were warmly welcomed and well taken care of, and benefited greatly from Sandro's exceptional knowledge of wine.
In addition to being a fascinating historic structure in it's own right, Il Molinello is a great place to tour from, with unbelievably beautiful vistas on drives to the Abbey of Mt. Oliveto, to Montalcino and to Montepulciano and to wine tastings at vineyards arranged by the owners, even on very short notice. We should have planned further ahead, but were certainly not disappointed.
An amazing gem in the heart of Tuscany
Jreedrichon 08/06/2016 06:24Our biking trip to Il Molinello has to be one of the best vacations we've ever had. Our trip was through Cyclismo Classico, titled Tuscan Green. The focus was not only on biking, but on the green lifestyle. We had several wine tastings, an olive oil tasting, a beer tasting, a cooking class, plus visits to local small farms, breweries, wineries, castles, and villages. A local trio of excellent musicians played for us during dinner one evening. The care and concern taken by Alisandro and his family and staff was incredible. The setting was magical--a huge apartment suite with jasmine everywhere on a large estate. Homegrown vegetables, local meat, and sumptuous multi-course meal meals. I just can't say enough about this wonderful place and special people. So, so worth a visit!
Agriturisimo of choice for cyclists

Sandro will put together your personal itinerary - there are so many cycle rides starting from Il Molinello you'll need several weeks to ride them all. Rent a bike, bring your own - and the workshop is there for any needed repairs ( we did need them!). Elisa and her crew will spoil you with the bountiful breakfasts in the lovingly restored old barn. Not to speak of the carefully furnished suites. Definitely a wonderful stay for us!
Perfect Base In Tuscany
MrBoofheadon 10/10/2015 10:52Il Molinello is the perfect place to base yourself for a holiday in Tuscany. It is well located within easy reach of many of the areas notable attractions and towns. The rooms are excellent and the friendly and helpful staff make this a very welcoming place to stay. We stayed here as a largish group on a cycling tour and we each had a generously sized apartment. The meals were great and very generous so we never ran out of fuel.
Sando and Allessandra are great hosts and will be able to cope with most requests for help or directions on what to see and do.
If you want to be away from the crowds but within easy reach of Tuscany treasures then stay here.

Irene Gon 20/07/2015 13:50My husband Todd and I traveled to Italy June 2014 with our friends Sam and Dan and stayed Agriturismo Il Molinello. It was the most wonderful vacation experience we ever had! We were treated like one of the family. Beautiful landscape, relaxing, and the food was excellent. And on top of all that, the price was very reasonable.
