, Lat minute booking, stayed , for 3 nights with the troop, (kids) August, 2014 . The owner , called me on my mobile, while I was driving long distant to Rust, to make sure, I will have an access to the property, since he leaves the front desk after 6 PM, That was really nice.
No AC in basement rooms, and try to avoid them, if you are like me claustrophobic. He was nice to give us an upper room last night.
The manager , went out of his way to help me fix rental car front shield. It great property to crash after busy Euro park gamings.
IT IS SIMPLE with caring gentleman in looking after you… Ooh.. loved the local students who run the housekeeping and breakfast place…

Walking distance to Europa Park

This family run hotel offers nice, clean, well appointed rooms in a quiet environment only five minutes walk from the entrance to Europa Park. As always in Germany, breakfast is included. We stayed in a room with four beds and watched Germany beat Brazil by 7-1 in the Football World Championships semi final game of 2014. The hotel is highly recommended!!!

Family run hotel within walking distance to Europapark

We stayed in a quadruple room which was large clean and comfortable. Essential for my teenagers was that the Pension had free wi-fi. Breakfast was fresh and of really good quality.
The Pension im Ziegelweg is less than 10 minutes walk from the entrance to Europapark. Can buy tickets for Europapark at reception and leave your car there free of charge for the day.
We have stayed at two other hotels in Rust -Gaestehaus Schmidt and Hotel am Park- and would definitely choose this hotel over the other two due to the personal service, the room we had and the quality of the breakfast.

Nice Place but ....

We stayed here for 7 nights from 11-18 August. It's a nice accommodation, spotlessly clean, food is fine, very close to Europa Park. However, halfway through our trip our Samsung Galaxy Pad disappeared while we were at the park, it was there when we left at 10am and gone when we returned at 3pm. When we asked Tanja (the proprietor) she was genuinely shocked and even checked the rubbish for us in case it had fallen in the bin by accident but to no avail. Her husband was actually quite rude about the whole incident and insinuated that we didn't even have it with us, or that maybe we brought it to the park and lost it. The following day, they asked the cleaners who said that when they left the room the Samsung was on the floor by the bed. We know this is a blatant lie because it was never used during the first half of the trip let alone did we have it near the beds. It was only taken out that morning to charge it so that we could look up some places of interest in the area online. Now all we have left is the charger.

So, by all means book this hotel because it is clean, it is very near the park, and the food is good. But be sure to lock away your valuables or they might not be coming home with you.

Good breakfast, nice and clean rooms, excellent and personal service!

Also free parking for your car.

Recommend a stay at this place if visiting Rust and Europa park.
