What People are saying
Just magical!
vdevrajon 28/08/2017 20:17My wife and I stayed here with our 4-year old for four days and it was truly a wondrous experience. There are so many varied aspects to this property that made it so... I wanted to highlight the top 5 below:
a) The friendly service and warmth of the people managing the place is on display front and center! Right from the time we showed up at the property, we were enthusiastically welcomed by everyone (from the guard at the main-gate to the kitchen staff and executive chef, Mr. Giri to the general manager, Ms. Sindhu!)
b) The place is an architectural marvel. Set up as a cross between a temple and a museum, it has scores of religious artifacts and corresponding stories posted at various places (the twin-Ganapathis at the entrance and the statue of Lord Murugan teaching the meaning of "Om" to his father, Lord Shiva, towards the back of the property especially stand out).
c) The place has a surreal and spiritual ambience to it - the area where the Sage of Kanchi, (Sankaracharya Chandrashekarendra) stayed continues to hum with positive vibration.
d) The place is designed to take advantage of the natural surroundings, with animals and birds all around you. Feeding the deer and the ducks, as well as the bullock cart ride were especially memorable for my 4-year old!
e) The rooms are clean, and the food and service at the onsite restaurant were spectacular (they accommodated every allergy / preference we had!) Plus the museum, bookstore and gift-shop were fascinating.
The four days just flew by, and we realized there was still so much to see and do! We hope to be back soon! We are humbled and grateful to the management for their kindness and grace.
A good hotel to stay
mkvidyashankaron 19/08/2017 04:13I along with my family stayed one night at this hotel. Constructed using old Agraharam area, very decent and comfortable when entered the property. Even though it looks little bit expensive compared to the facility, room is big enough and one family of 4 members can stay comfortably.
Food is good and staff is well behaved.
an unforgettable visit.
AroneJesuadiyanon 17/08/2017 09:42Are you one of those who think there is nothing god in India? Are you one who thinks India is a paradise? Be whichever category you belong to. It is to you I come as the answer. A must visit to the only place idyllically situated on the banks off Cauvery in Tanjore district of Tamil Nadu. The obvious reasons in my opinion are,
- Never ever have I seen such a cool, calm, serene place – a place where man and animals live in perfect harmony, never stepping on each others’ privacy in a lush green canopy around the entire belt of IndEco Leisure Hotels, Swamimalai.
- An aura of spirituality beautifully blended with the soothing song of birds can elevate one to the fantasy world.
- Ecology and heritage of the country seem to have been prioritized well with the hospitality and the state of heart service.
- Food is fantabulous too.
- Finally I can vouch to say, hop to visit Swamimalai, 6km away from Kumbakonam to rejuvenate spiritually, intellectually and physically. To say, I have the answer I have discovered India‘s beauty a bit!
One of the most spectacular leisure spots idyllically situated in a lush green village on the banks of Cauvery, Tamil Nadu, South India. The promoter of this heritage hotel has kept in mind a few vital aspects to satisfy his customers,
- Give the best of the stay comforts food and other modern day facilities
- Showcase Indian culture in particular, the rich cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu
- Highlight the value of the country through the age old art pieces and the British Raj museum.
- Provide an ambience to relax, rejuvenate, introspect, learn and go back home charged with the feel, Gosh!, India, Tamil Nadu in particular is really a land of myriads of musicians, artists of great calibre and temples of great artistic tastes.
comfortable stay in a pleasing Ambience
vee092on 17/08/2017 07:56I stayed in this hotel for a day . The room was very comfortable , tastefully decorated in a traditional way. The whole property is preserved very well. They have a museum with rich collection of artifacts and real vintage cars on display. Food is typical south Indian vegetarian food. i was really surprised to find such a beautiful hotel in the interiors of the state. Staff are friendly and helpful
A nostalgic experience.
Anand Son 16/08/2017 09:10I had visited this place on 12th august 13th august along with my wife and 5 yr old kid. This place is awesome for its traditional avatar. The rooms reminded us of the olden era and was very neat and spaceoius. The resort's environment is a treat to our eyes. The museum is a must visit. Food is good but could add more variety to the buffet. Only disappoinment was the swimming pool, the water was dirty and there is no addional provisions for kids. I hope the hotel management gives some attention to its beautiful pool side.over all the exp was fantastic and I am sure to recommend this stay to my friends...
